Maybe the photo editors should have included several rusty SUVs floating around in the water to get their point across?

There's a lesson here - manipulating people with advertising is dangerous for society.
Global warming is going to wreck up the biosphere in the long term, which is why we need to be looking at making it economically viable for people to lower their emissions. If greener technologies become cheaper, then developing countries like China/India will reduce their emissions because the technology will be made more available.

Hey Bosse, why don't you and I plan on hitting Brooklyn when it's 20 feet underwater in 20 years?

A small excerpt:-

"According to the European Space Agency (ESA), 200 satellite images from the Danish National Space Center (DNSC) indicate that the Arctic ice levels are at an all time low, since the first images taken in 1978, and as a result the Northwest Passage has completely opened up for the first time since humans began to record history. The images have shown the melting of the ice has "dramatically increased" more than previously thought and that by 2030, all of the summer ice could be gone with the region being completely ice free by 2070. ."

So you are seriously not worried that 'your guys' might be wrong?
As a corollary, even real scientists can't agree on this stuff:

While the survey's size was small, Milloy said, "I certainly think that it's large enough to indicate that the IPCC members really ought to be probed as to what they think.""
IPCC members have been probed as to what they think, it was provided in all those new scientist links I provided you and macswain et al which not a single one of you ever answered. While the link is getting old, the arguments are still relevant.
Once more, you harp on about Al Gore, I fully agree he's a hack, always have, never disagreed with you there, but seriously, quit the bull$h1t artist stuff. You haven't been convinced by our evidence because you've never looked at it, unless it was through the distorted lens of your politically motivated websites. Try out a scientific one, for possibly the 20th time I've posted it...

And the more up to date...

And before you claim that I'm feeding you propoganda, one of new scientists own editors is a climate change sceptic, though for very different reasons to you.

Edit: But alas, polotics is not a capital market. All I can do is watch the volatility and have no way to profit from it. 🙁
