Well. He replaced Bush. That's one.
Okay, and how has that worked out so far?
Really, what has he done beside taking office that anyone even
McCann would have done had he won?

You are really bringing that up?
Two points, first being he didn't write or propose the stimulas package,
that was good ole Nancy P, really, he asked for one, she wrote it, and
no one read it even though they passed it. Right now we are
discovering that many of the people who voted for that stimulas bill
are quite surprised by the things inside of it, example AIG giving those
bonus'. Which now appears they actually not only knew about it, but
debated and allowed that to stay in when some wanted that part out.

The second part I actually need your help on, what is in that bill that
you call stimulas, that would be helpful, we know it advanced a lot of
left wing programs, but what is inside of it that you support that is in
there to just bring stimulas? Can you speak directly to anything or
would you cast yourself like many in Congress do now, not really
sure what is in that bill now that you think about it?

So, no, there is enough blame to go around ...[text shortened]... y risk averse.

lesson #1 -- do NOT let lawyers make high level policy and political calls.
Okay, this is getting scary I'm agreeing with most of what you said
again, except the part about Clinton being a mod Rep.

Agreed. I think they are somewhat apprehensive because they know the outrage that exists right now. So to subside the rage they then tax the bonus that they recieve at a 90% rate. My, my, arn't they tough on them. Now please excuse me while I puke my dinner up.

Hopefully this will not subside the anger that is out there. Hopefully the American public will not be happy until heads roll in both Washington and in the corporate world.
Well the press is dying a slow painful death, maybe Congress will
take over the press to save them from lack of public support. 🙁
The press has lost a lot of respect, now it seems most of the press is
pushing an agenda left or right wing, if I want to know what the dems
are doing I go to the right wing press, if I want to know what Rep are
doing I go to the left wing press. Getting it straight up without an axe
to grind is hard to find now days.

If you going to play the semantics game of saying that Obama didn't technically write the stimulus package, then shouldn't you also point out that Nancy Pelosi didn't technically write it either? You act like she sat in a room by herself and wrote a thousand plus pages of jargon and nobody including herself read it. You've just replaced one incorrect statement with another!

This sounds like you're just repeating junk you heard on conservative radio.

It was her room wasn't it where it was put together? She had more
hands on than Obama did, but if you want to give him credit...think he
read it before he signed it?

There's healthcare, welfare benefits and food stamps, renewable energy, education, domestic infrastructure, tax cuts for low-to-middle income earners, saving and creating jobs. All of these things are useful in promoting economic growth, whereas benefits to the rich and corporations are not.

I fail to see how allowing people to keep the money they make isn't
good for making our economy grow, when they fear for it, they do not
spend it, when it isn't being spent or invested for that matter, the
economy isn't growing.

With respect to the topics you brought up, I asked for something
specific what have they done, those are cool things, and what is it
about those you things they have done will make the economy grow?
What is it they have done that you see working yet, very soon our
taxes and fees are about to be raised through the roof, so are we
going to see our economy pick up shortly in a year, what because of
the money they spent, because they most certainly spent money, but
was it done wisely?

Don't assume anything about what I want to do. I haven't given Obama any credit for the stimulus. You're becoming (or have become) a knee-jerk "anti-liberal."

You said that Obama technically didn't write the package and that Nancy P. did instead. I'm saying technically neither of them wrote it.

Now if some one else (not me) wants to give Obama credit for the package then that's fine. He requested it. He supported it. It's his reputation riding on it. After all, I'm sure that if it all blows up on him, you won't refrain from placing some or all the blame on his shoulders.
How do I know what you would do? Simple. It's what Rush Limbaugh and FoxNews would do.

The point is a contract was in place, Congress knew about this and
had a chance to do something about it, yet didn't, and not only did
not, actually made sure it happened! So why are we going after the
employees of AIG, and not Congress? AIG employee contracts could
have been voided b r to do so, and cries over the fact it happened
as if they knew nothing about this!

Why are you focusing on the $160 million dollar payment to employees? THIS IS WHAT ANGERS YOU?? I'm constantly amazed at what the general public will choose to focus on.

Try getting angry at the more than 3 TRILLION DOLLARS that has been given away. You are angry about less than 1/10 of 1% of the total taxpayer money spent.

Try getting angry at the 99.99 OTHER percent! Sheesh!!

Most of that money is going to worthwhile domestic spending, whereas the AIG money is being wasted on these execs.
