@athousandyoung saidWeasel out...I gave you post after post of which there are several mentions of kids even younger than 10, but you hastily objected to reading any of it for stark raving fear of it not fitting your political agenda. The second article on the list has this:
I was accepted into a Master’s program for Secondary Education but I ran out of money. I did finish my BS Biochemistry at the top Chem school in the world UC Berkeley, known for such things as synthesizing a bunch of new elements, being central to the Manhattan Project and the invention of the internet.
You?
If you mention 10 year olds, please provide evidence f ...[text shortened]... to weasel out of it. 17 years old is a late adolescent not a kid. Minor is not the same as ‘kid’.
Three young children wounded by gunfire in attacks on the South Side as shootings continue to spike across Chicago
Two of the children, boys 6 and 11, were among four shot in West Englewood — the third mass shooting in Chicago in two days. Five hours later, about a mile and a half away in Gresham, a 3-year-old girl and a woman were shot.

The third article includes this paragraph:
More children have been the victims of gun violence in Chicago this year than have died from COVID-19 across the entire country, according to police and the Centers for Disease Control and Protection.
While that article doesn't give specific ages, it does report all those kids were UNDER 17.
Another article:
https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/map-at-least-276-kids-16-and-younger-have-been-shot-in-chicago-since-2021/
IF you could read down through it (which, I'm quite aware you cannot do) you would find this:
At least 276 children aged 16 and younger have been shot in Chicago since the start of last year, according to data analyzed by CBS Chicago.
That includes 43 children younger than 13, according to the data, obtained by CBS Chicago through a Freedom of Information Act request. The data include all shootings between Jan. 1, 2021, and Jan. 10, 2022.
...and this:
In one of the latest shootings, which happened more recently than that range of dates, 8-year-old Melissa Ortega was shot and murdered at 26th Street and Pulaski Road in the Little Village neighborhood this past Saturday. When such an innocent child is murdered, a whole community mourns.
On another note, so it should be YOU we thank for the internet--not Al Gore?
@liljo saidNo I wasn’t there at the time but some of my teachers might have had something to do with it.

So one child, Melissa Ortega was killed by a 16 year old gangbanger (Latin Kings) named Emilio Corripio (who was a ‘kid’ in your posts until now) by gunfire accidentally as Corripio was shooting at his Two-Six rivals. You should have said that at the beginning. Yes that is a tragedy.
I see that now you are using statistics for kids ‘shot’ when this thread is about kids killed. What’s up with that?

@liljo saidI’m still waiting for your educational background since you felt it appropriate to bring up mine.

@liljo saidWhy are you still responding to me? You said ‘adios’ and everything!
Wow, you really must be an idiot wrapped in a moron!
SEVERAL of those articles that you were too lazy to find mention kids being shot by wayward gang fire.
Oh well, adios you intolerant, spiteful, and very angry lefty.
@sonhouse saidHere we are in a "deadliest US cities" thread and leave it to psycho @sonhouse to turn it into a @Trump thread.
@Earl-of-Trumps
Yeah because you and the rest of the zombie republicans don't like truth.
You just like to think Trump is the best POTUS in US history. Which is a pile of cow manure.
Now, to make the three-ring circus complete, we need @Suzie to turn it into a "all whities are racists" thread.
one-track minds much...

@liljo said@liljo, I have known @aThousandYoung to be very fair minded. We are all right sometimes and we are all wrong sometimes.

@athousandyoung saidIt's really simple. You just keep enforcing the common ground you and I have established. That neither one of us has any idea what you are babbling about.
Why are you still responding to me? You said ‘adios’ and everything!
@earl-of-trumps saidWow that’s nice of you to say.

F'n A, man. good for you. You are talking about the elements like Californium, Einsteinium, Berkelium, and a bunch of others, ya. I think Berkley was like weeks ahead of the Soviets in those discoveries. Cool times.

@earl-of-trumps saidGreat Earl. And you think they are scramlbing NOW!??? It is just beginning. Even Sonhouse, as forthright as he is, cannot bring himself to answer questions. He may be booby-trapping his hidey-hole with the Trump monitors.
