Biden was equally painful.

But you don't want to admit that, do you? He's on your side, after all.
"Your side"?

My side, their side.

"That is why you fail."

Biden is on your side, your partisan side.

It’s a normal comment by GKR within the context of this topic and especially given that you in particular seem to view everything and everyone through a bi-partisan lens.

The last two debates should be cancelled; you're right this one was a national embarrassment.
I don’t think your man is going to get away with not turning up to the next debates under the flimsy ubiquitous excuse of ‘“the last one was a general embarrassment” for example... But if I were a voting Democrat I can totally see how you might want to yank Imhotep out of the ring!

Yes, the entire American political "debate" on this forum is based on partisan viewpoints with the exception of 1 or 2 people.

You are not one of those 2.

Very good debate. I enjoyed it. 1.5 hours non-stop.

Joe held his own, Trump danced all around him like Mohamed Ali -
float like a butterfly, sting like a bee:-)

Takeaways:
Trump - you have the nerve to start raking Hunter Biden over the coals???
Hunter Biden is not running for president, Joe is. Damn.

Biden - fewer people working today than when Trump took ...[text shortened]... l, I give Trump the edge, especially when he started citing cases of voter fraud going on right now.
Joe nailed it when he called the halfwit Trump a CLOWN.

What do you think he “nailed” with that insult?

I didn't say anything about Biden "not turning up" for the debates if they are held.

I said they should be cancelled by their sponsors.

Or at a minimum, steps should be taken to prevent Trump for consistently violating the rules he agreed to. Perhaps a debater's microphone should be deactivated during the two minute period the other candidate is given to answer a moderator's question.

I would hardly call Biden "equally painful" in that "debate". He lost his temper a few times and name called, but the provocation was incredible. Never has a candidate acted anything like Trump did last night at a debate, brazenly and constantly interrupting both the other candidate and the moderator in clear violation of the rules they agreed on.

It was "painful" to watch such disgraceful and childish behavior from the President of the United States.

So you noticed Trump interupt biden, but not biden interupt Trump? Wallace did the same.

I especially liked the part where wallace helped biden explain the green new deal.

When you say "flimsy ubiquitous excuse" are you suggesting that there's a reason to engage in another "broadly flaccid embarrassment"?

Three things I take away from this:

1. The president refused to condemn white supremacists.

2. The president REFUSED to condemn white supremacists.

3. He even sent his commands to groups like the Proud Boys: "Stand back and stand by."

Wait, WHAT?
That's the most glaring point revealed during that unprecedented debacle.

Trump has chosen to supplant the dignity of the "Office of the Presidency" with his naive aspiration toward tyranny.

An aspiration that he and his "brownshirt wannabes" shall not obtain.

Many great men have fallen for the ideals of this nation.
There are plenty left to see that they have not fallen in vain.
Trump will get his. Stay strong.
