People normally do not support having their money expropriated unless it is out of fear.

Lately they have been using it as an excuse to reduce the food supply. Culling cows, reducing fertilizer use and such. There is a war on farmers in the Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Ireland. Nitrogen and methane is being used as the excuse for that.
People will support some really stupid policies out of fear. They want to scare you into accepting their control freak policies.

This is a nice point by shag doody, this indicates the heatwave is a local event i.e. it is the weather, not the climate.
