Will you libs ever stop it with the free stuff? I hate calling you out on this, but note that over our eons of posts, when i have pointed out your Dependency on govt, that you have never denied it.
Of course, it would follow that you are teaching your children to be on government as well. You cannot feel good about this.
And the feds are taking over state authority with water etc. etc. Do I have to tell you what all this leads to, although this may be what you want it to lead to.

The military is a social program.
It protects everyone equally.
It even protects illegal immigrants.
On the other hand, the military is a big stick used to protect American interests abroad.
After all, according to studies, the USA is a country with 5% of the world's population consuming 25% of the world's natural resources.
That has gotta drive up the resentment against America around the world.
Which in turn drives up America's military costs.
Of course, I am waiting for responses justifying the disproportionate consumption of natural resources by one country.
And I am sure there will be some good arguments.

Oh - You mean the hundreds of billions of our tax $$ given away to the Fortune 500 as subsidies, grants and other corporate welfare goodies, most of which goes to stock buy backs, lavish corporate retreats, over bloated exec. salaries, and bonus's??

To answer your question, everything has been tremendous for the last 200 years to create this country. It is not perfect. Presently the economy is doing fantastic, fantastic. And isn’t it funny that the economy is doing fantastic with the present tax structure? I am as befuddled as you are, but why fix something that’s not broke?

(Are you boys aware that if you tax the hell out of the refrigerator company, that they will simply raise the price of the refrigerators, the corporate heads will still take home the same income that they always have, and you will pay more for the refrigerator. Why do you not acknowledge such simple economics? But, that is for another thread)
So, if you balk at my post , tell us what else you would do with the revenues from corps? Realistically,...... not silly stuff like have Biden give millions to the arts, or hearing aids, such as that.

Remember, I have often said let us clothe and feed the 40 million destitute in the USA. So the question to you is, do you give some of this money to the other people who can certainly take care of themselves, with 9 million jobs available out there?
