does acting like an enemy combatant make you an enemy combatant?

whats the point of having separate laws for the military and civilians if you can arbitrarily decide which one to apply?

maybe he's just a postman from the future.

all those cool props and storylines, just think how the world would be different if Star Wars had been discovered by the beeb instead of George Lucas.

If the Oklahoman Tea Party leaders, in cooperation with elected officials from the Oklahoma state legislature, successfully set up and prepared an armed 'militia' to resist federal government and federal laws, would you deem them to be "enemy combatants"?

With a potential proclivity to violence and all the rest? No one, I reckon. Not that I can detect. But I think there is plenty of intellectual impairment on the "right", though, and this has resulted in conservatism and rightwing-ism generally being quite poorly represented at RHP.

With some exceptions, too many "right wing" posters here seem inarticulate, ignorant, meanspirited and unable to embrace things broadly or thoughfully. It's a pity. In real life I have the opportunity to engage with erudite and astute people whose views and ideas are probably quite far along the spectrum from me in a rightward direction. There are only a handful of such people here offering the same level of stimulation.

Unfortunately, the "right" here is typified by the likes of yourself, zeeblebot, and peanutpicker41, Sartor Resartus, Hugh Glass, whodey, generalissimo, Phil3000, utherpendragon et al, and is thus woefully understrength as far as insight and common sense are concerned (this is not to say that the RHP left doesn't have its own feebleminded and boring headless chickens like scherzo and adam warlock).

But "true rightwing wingnuts" on these forums, as in set off bombs, boobytrap your front doorstep. out of my cold dead hand etc., I am not aware of any. Are you?

The fact that you put me alongside the likes of sartor resartus and peanutpicker in your little list clearly shows you really don't know what you're talking about.
I don't remember ever agreeing with those individuals (as a matter of fact I actually criticize them frequently), and yet here you imply we are the same type of people. Ludicrous.

why shouldn't a rebellion be judged under military law?
