@Ponderable saidKlinsman,Beckenbauer real footballers
Are you still talking about a rich man leaving his well-doted position?
And has this anything to do with football?
@Chuck-2 saidShould football be a topic for debates?
Klinsman,Beckenbauer real footballers
My thesis:
Since football is now "just" the carrier for a big business it is a matter to be debated in business terms.
@divegeester saidI find her annoying. A presenter doesn't need to have played football, currently the best presenter arguably is what's her name on BT sport who's pregnant (I think). Can't be arsed to look up her name but she was great in the NFL show, champions league and I think she also did the rugby world cup if I remember right. Very natural and funny. And always appears to know what's she's talking about even when she doesn't really.
What don’t you like about Alex Scott?
Alex Scott ruined football focus, I couldn't watch it anymore.
Of the current pundits to step into the role maybe Richards could do it but he jokes too much.
@divegeester saidLaura woods, that's it. Sign her up.
Presenters Odds Implied Probability
Mark Chapman 2/1 - 33%
Kelly Cates 9/2 - 18%
Alex Scott 9/2 - 18%
Gabby Logan 13/2 - 13%
Eilidh Barbour 10/1 - 9%
Kelly Somers 12/1 - 8%
Laura Woods 14/1 - 7%
Colin Murray 16/1 - 6%
Kelly Cates would be my preference .

@A-Unique-Nickname saidEven my missus (who doesn’t watch football) says she didn’t like her on whatever else it was she presented. I have a vague recollection of her during the olympics, but tbh there were so many annoying presenters on the different channels I can’t remember which was her from that time.

@A-Unique-Nickname saidMy view is that they will want to equalise the profile of MotD 1 & 2 and have one male and one female alternate between the two.
With the BBC's narrative if giving woman jobs in sports it's likely the new host will be female, looking at that list confirms it. Colin Murray would be good at it imo, he made countdown watchable.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall on the BBC internal meetings; would make a hilarious miniseries 😂
@divegeester saidI think she did the one show maybe? Or was that Jenas, he's also a $hite presenter. I watched the Olympics on Eurosport, so much better presenting than the BBC and actually showed sport involving non-brits. Amazing.

I go on the BBC sport website sometimes but even that is being ruined, putting all the typos to one side the amount of coverage woman's football gets is laughable. No one cares, no one watches it.

@A-Unique-Nickname saidWell I’m not a fan of the BBC on any level; the notion of a “state broadcaster” which is mandatorily funded by the tax payer is archaic and Orwellian. Also the corporation these days has become a parody of itself. However I do like MotD, especially since I’ve binned Sky Sports and refuse to be price gouged by the big corporations any more than I have to be to maintain a functional connection with the outside world.

Top flight men’s football is fast becoming hugely compromised by corruption and politics. Women’s football is the way to go imo, slower, more open play, less theatrics and easier on the eye in lots of ways. Give it a try.
@divegeester saidI have, it's boring, you know what I've really gotten into this season. The conference league, with shamrock/Larne etc, great competition for the little clubs. TV licence is a joke, a tax to watch TV. Crazy. ITV and the like survive without it, why should the BBC get public funding?

On a wider scale the UK is becoming joke, a really bad one. I’m considering getting out tbh but don’t know where to go.
@divegeester saidIt is, been brewing since Brexit...what idiots voted for that 😉 your choices are limited now without an EU passport, Europe is out of the question. Colombia? 😃
Exactly.
