@sonhouse saidI wear my mask and check my temp. I had to come today for my calc class. They are falling behind with me being out.
@Eladar
So you are ok teaching children to ignore the idea of getting tested.
You clearly have no interest in actually protecting those kids.
The FIRST thing you should have done is not prevaricate and tell US here about your symptoms but to get the test. I had TWO in one day, I thought I had symptoms and our local urgent care now have a ten minute test which came out negative and they did the regular lab test also which came back neg also.

@Metal-Brain
Ah, it COULD'NT POSSIBLY be just a cold he has?
NAW, that would spoil your political weaponization of covid for your own political purposes.
@metal-brain saidThe Epoch Times? Really?
Both are bat viruses, but Nipah has been confirmed to genetically engineered and found in an early Wuhan patient.

Another right-biased Pro-Trump conspiracy-theory-heavy media source, despite their claim that they "are nonpartisan and dedicated to truthful reporting. We are free from the influence of any government, corporation, or political party—this is what makes us different from other media organizations."
Yeah, bull. What would shock us is if you quoted from a link that actually embraces truth, instead of giving it lip service.
@eladar saidI admire your dedication, El, but having you come in with COVID systems was awful administration by your principal.

Put a laptop hooked up to a 50 inch TV into the classroom and you can teach over Zoom for a day or two until you can get a negative COVID test (or for 10-14 days if positive).
It's not ideal, but it beats the heck out of giving COVID to half your class.
@sh76 saidI do not have internet at home. I must go to school to use the internet, but teaching wipes me out. It takes a lot of thought and loud talking to teach, as opposed to putting an assignment on the board.

I found just driving home today taxing.
@eladar saidIf you're still fatigued after 3 days, it's highly likely that you have COVID or some other flu-like respiratory illness.

You shouldn't be teaching, man. That's for your own health and for the health of the others in the room.
It's Friday, so I guess you have off until Monday anyway. I would again suggest that you stay home and take care of yourself over the weekend and see a doctor, especially if you're still fatigued by Sunday.

@sh76 saidI am at home, plan on staying here. It still could be allergies resulting in mucus that drains to the lungs at night. I may get some sudafed to see if that helps.

How many people do you know that got a cold since the pandemic started?

@sh76 saidDude, I know you mean well, but everybody is going to get infected with the SARS2 virus sooner or later anyway. Those that wanted to be vaccinated are already vaccinated except a small percentage of people that cannot take the vaccine. Those people should self isolate if they fear getting it. It should not be up to those that get it to always self isolate. Vaccinated people are spreading it around too and many are asymptomatic spreaders.

Most of the vulnerable elderly have already died from it. Now it is spreading among the mostly youthful people that can live through it. Let it happen. The faster everyone gets it the faster we reach herd immunity if that is possible. It sure the heck isn't going to happen because of vaccines. That ship has sailed.
Hospitals are in no danger of being overloaded. The deaths are a small percentage of the population. The world will not come to an end. Relax.

@Metal-Brain
I guess you wouldn't know, living in a cave.
I got a cold last week and had SEVERAL C19 tests, all negative.
One thing though, the incidence of flu has gone down dramatically since Covid came UP.
I had the flu shot, shingles shot, covid shot twice, didn't help stopping a stupid cold.
