A lot of media in my country (Australia) have been singularly focused on the
reputed incompetence of the Bush administration especially in Iraq. It seems that most people are speculating that he will resign. Is there any truth to it?

No for a man that thinks he is mandated by a 51-49 vote.

Please just to give hope to my existence. Is it true that he has only a one in three approval rating?

Also, is there any possible way of preventing him from completeing his term as president (excluding the obvious assanination... I guess al Quada is working on that)?

If the existence (or not) of Bush as president of the USA affects your existence so badly, I suspect you need help and a life. If you tried that already and it did not work, I can send a hitman down under to put you out of your misery.

I heard all kinds of foreign guys invading AU and taking away all the beautiful women from the locals. If you are in that predicament try to concentrate on your own domestic problems.

He's done more to help Al-Qaida's recruitment efforts than they ever dared hope. They gain nothing by assassinating him.

As for his resignation, a man of conscience would have resigned long ago.

Likewise, Congress should have impeached him, but the institution is controlled by men who put their party's power above everything else they profess as values, and some of these "leaders" actually agree with Bush's lies.

The media in the United States walks in such lock-step with thier corporate advertisers, many of whom benefit from America's regressive taxation, that the American people have become terribly ignorant regarding the actual state of things. This bubble of ignorance is made more profound by the widespread perception in the United States that the major corporations in the mass media are liberal.

I know it sounds absurd, but that's the world we live in. You can blame Disney, or blame Reagan, or blame our schools, or find another scapegoat. Assigning blame does not alleviate the ailment; someone must burst the bubble.
