The Colt .45 was developed in 1911 forthe U.S. Army, because during its campaign against the Moros in Philippines, their trusty .38 revolver to be incapable of stopping attackers. The soldiers would shoot the attackers and they just kept coming. With a larger bullet, a lot more energy is transfered, and will knock you on your butt. Imagine if there was a ...[text shortened]... ur talking about pistols and self-defence, then most of the time people only shoot within 15 ft.
No small arms bullet will "knock you on your butt".
Needles do not have the same properties of bullets.

walther ppk/s vs kimber tle .45acp.
i know the .45 is much more powerful than the .380acp, right? i'm looking for QUALITY here not so much power. i'm 5'4 and have small hands. I've shot the .45 before and its really fun! but my hands _do get pretty sore, especially the skin webbing area (?) between thumb and pointer. ...[text shortened]... ould be better. but mostly i need a handgun for the home as i live in the scary ghetto 😉
Originally posted by jlillyAs far as a firearm taking wear I suggest you take care of it. Learn how and when to oil and clean it. Clean a new firearm before you fire it. A new firearm comes with a coating of grease in the barrel. Firing a firearm with oil or grease in the barrel could cause ringing or rippling in the bore. This damage is permanent.

also i question the logic behind asking in a forum of chess players about something that is supposed to mean life or death to you (and to the attacker)
