And BTW, the forces driving EV's have to do with the end of oil as a fuel. There will be plenty of oil to manufacture plastics and such when we get smart and stop sucking off the tit of fossil fuel.

For instance, Volvo has stated it will stop making ICE by some date, maybe 2030 or so, and for good reason.
The world is running out of oil, the searches are getting more and more desperate and there WILL be an end to oil whether we want it or not.
If we actually get smart we will stop making ICE and convert to electric and I know that has many problems also but it has to be done or else we will be back to horse and buggies by 2100.
