Why is it that any time a conservative shows a little spunk and begins to be critical of government, the assumption is that they are ready to take up arms against their government? I guess it is why conservatives are seen as more of a threat by the current administration than say Al Quada.
Anyhew, all I can say is that if one wants to invoke change one ne ...[text shortened]... can anywhere else. 😉
As for the change Obama talked about, where exactly is that I wonder?
That "change" business was all bunkum for the masses of course. Yes, his policies will differ from Bush's somewhat. But this change mantra is just empty talk. If I weren't sure of that before he was elected, his pragmatic approach since he's been elected has confirmed it. American society is what it is. We could use some fine tuning of course, as can everyone, but fundamentally, for most people, things are going to stay pretty much the same.
Maybe health insurance will cost a few bucks more, maybe a few bucks less. Maybe I'll pay a little more in taxes, maybe a little less. Maybe Walmart's trinkets will become a bit more expensive, maybe they won't. Either way, life will go on.

What kind of society would you like to live in?
