So much for the peaceful nuclear program in iran:

After he destroys Israel, there will be peace in the Mid-East. Hence its a PEACEFUL NUCLEAR PROGRAM.
Why cant you Western Morons see that.
Let's not get excited, after all, the Iranian islamic theocracy would never lie, would they? If they got their hands on a nuke, I'm sure they would only use it for self defense, right? They certainly wouldn't do anything crazy in order to further Islamic expansion and control, would they? It's not like that's part of their stated religious goals or anything, is it? Don't forget the great record Iran has on human rights, it's a really wonderful government.
I have a better reason not to get too excited.
"Still, they said, further analysis could show that the traces match others established to have come from abroad. The International Atomic Energy Agency determined earlier traces of weapons-grade uranium were imported on equipment from Pakistan that Iran bought on the black market during nearly two decades of clandestine activity discovered just over three years ago."
I have little doubt Iran's programs are hardly limited to "peaceful" development, but I also enjoy waiting for confirmation before the panic begins.

sounded like stang to me.....
Talking to idiots aside, I think I'll get to an argument now.
Tons of people are not going to like it when the US deals with Iran, but I'd have to agree that they seem pretty suspicious. I'd rather they not have nukes. I'd also rather that WE don't have nukes either.

Originally posted by sasquatch672Well I have to disagre on one minor point. Highly enriched uranium is defined as anything over 20 percent not 90 percent. Think about it, How do you make a bomb? Get that HEU together. If its 90%, I think I would want to be about ten miles away from it myself. Any extra neutrons around and its pachinco time!
Well, lads, to shed a bit of light on the subject...
Uranium used in reactors as fuel rods is usually enriched to levels between 3.5% - 5%.
Just a few weeks ago, recalling from memory, Iran had announced with great pride that it had built a 128-tube P1 cascading centrifuge, which intelligence experts know to be sufficient to enrich a few grams o ...[text shortened]... half of what you see". The public isn't getting anything close to the whole story.
