Why do you care? Did the charged man have forced incest with you?
I don't understand the outrage expressed here either. None of the posters here were involved in any way to this. It's just a story on the news. Why people get so upset at stuff like this is odd.
It's almost as if people are upset because they are supposed to be upset. And by yelling and screaming about it they are just re-affirming the collective agreeement on acceptable and unacceptable behaviour.
It's like a mass mutual expression of a pre-determined response to a given set of circumstances.
In short, we all know this is wrong, so why does anyone feel the need to shout?

Simply to express it.
It's like a horror film, only it's much much worse because it's true. You can't tell yourself it's just a story, or that it wouldn't happen in real life.
This is like that kids song. "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands....etc"
Except in this case it's, "If you don't like what happened and you know it express your outrage...."
Predictable reactions do not need to be expressed.

Yes but how? How dose someone not go into their own celler for 24 years? Not ask what their husband dose down there? Not wonder why their doughter leaves childern and dosen't visit them?
What about Elizabeths 6 siblings didn't they wonder why they hadn't seen their sister?

I disagree
To which point(s) do you disagree? If it's just to my last point about predictable responses do not need to be expressed, then ok, have your say, tell us all how bad and a jerk this guys was.
Now, if you've posted your "reaction" to this guy's actions, what are we supposed to do? Shall we all nod and chime in with our comments about how much of a jerk this guy was? Ok, but what is the point? Just to re-affirm that we all have the same moral and values system?
Is that really necessary? Do your morals and values really need to be validated by everyone else? Or are you just trying to make sure that everyone else agrees with your morals and values....as if you are saying, "I'm upset, is anyone else upset at this? ok, you are, you too? ok good. So we're all in agreement then that this was a bad thing? Ok, now we can move on with our lives."
Is that how it goes?
