Perhaps you are reading too much into the axiom...it's a rather straight forward one. Maybe you are confused by "deserve"?
When you are speeding, you deserve to get a ticket. When you are not speeding, you don't deserve a ticket. Same thing in politics. When you vote for a man like Bush, you deserve the kind of government that results.

the president is just a puppet, a front to distract the american people from the true rulers of the country.
if i were an american, i would vote hillarry. the lesser evil i suppose.
and actually that woman wouldn't be too bad as a president either.
unfortunately, the american people gets to choose the president, or should i say the 5% of the american people. and if we have more "magic votes from the kingdom of far away" we can alreay guess who will be president.
