I was strolling down memory lane.....remembering my dancing days in the harem when duct tape had its uses.......ooops. Not a debate.😳
I was debating starting a thread I the spirituality thread about duct tape and its spiritual symbolism or just join the discussion in "Fun with analagies".......hmmmm
I found three sites that explain how to make roses out of duct tape...😏

Yes, but duck tape, unlike duct tape, develops quacks under pressure. Always use genuine duct tape.
Duck tape > duct tape.
A while back I fixed my girlfriend's car cd player with duct tape and a knife that I "borrowed" from my father about four years ago. Anyway, the thing looked like a silvery digital little Frankenstein, but it worked. Then, last night, somebody smashed her window and stole it.
Duct tape covered broken car cd players = in demand, apparently.
I was just checking out a 'weird and wonderful uses for duct tape' website and stumbled across this..;
"I have twin toddler girls who were always taking off their diapers. This became very frustrating. No matter how many times I told them "no," they continually took them off. What finally did it for me is when one of the twins decided to take off her full diaper and walk around the house! From that day on, I duct-taped their diapers so they couldn't get them off."

I bet they're still walking around in the same nappy (diaper) to this day.
I didn't think I really used duct tape so I when I got home yesterday I had a look around. I found to my surprise that I have nine seperate instances of duct tape useage in my abode:
1) One of my old acoustic guitars developed a crack where the neck joins the body and is now prevented by snapping by half a reel of duct tape.
2) My Les Paul had it's jack plate ripped off by a tw@t I used to be in a band with and is now cunningly held on by a combination of duct tape and the remaining two screws.
3) My first guitar (a squire stratocaster) had its strap pin ripped from the body , damaging the wood enough to mean I couldn't screw it back in without.... yes you guessed it, I filled the hole with a combination of duct tape and matchsticks before screwing the original screw back in nice and tightly. It has held for 4 years now.
4) The extension cord under my computer table is held together with duct tape.
5) A pipe in the kitchen has duct tape wound around it.
6) I keep my girlfriend bound and gagged in the cupboard with duct tape.
7) A pair of dearly beloved trainers was held together with duct tape for a whole year past their obvious chucking point. They now reside, for prosterity, in the cupboard next to the girlfriend.
8) The vacuum cleaner has it's upper body held on with duct tape
9) Duct tape forms the spine to one of my old books which had fallen apart and needed rescuing.
EDIT: Okay 6 is made up, I was just checking you were paying attention
EDIT2: To clarify, I don't keep her gagged all the time.
