Bbarr: "One major difference you overlooked was that I take the actual views and interests of the person whose life it is as partially determinative of what makes their life worth living."

Ha ha ha ..... "partially determinative" ..... really.

The Nazis didn't go that far in the case of voluntary euthanasia meant for the Herrenrasse. I refer to the 1941 Nazi-propaganda film "Ich klage an" directed by Wolfgang Liebeneiner. It's all in there.

At first there was a second story line in the film about a case of involuntary euthanasia of a disabled child. They left it out of the script because at the time they thought the German people were not ready for this kind of killing. You however advocate this sort of killing without holding back. This means you even want to go further than the Nazi's wanted to go in their propagandafilms in 1941..

Because you refuse to even look at the evidence I presented does not mean I didn't present it.

"This film is a premier example of what a dangerous weapon the cinematic arts can be. _Ich klage an_ was a propaganda piece, carefully constructed by the Nazis, to persuade the viewing public how reasonable it would be for euthanasia to be first legalized and then state run. The sentimentality with which the relationship between the husband and his terminally ill wife is portrayed is brilliant. The debate in the jury room (the debate is over the euthanizing of the wife and the guilt of her murderer) is indeed one of the shrewdest pieces of propaganda in cinematic history. Germans in the Nazi period had great sympathy for the film and with few exceptions accepted the reasonableness of its arguments about "quality of life". We know where that led. If dead Nazis could vote on IMDb, they'd give _Ich klage an_ nines and tens for sure. Never again, dear friends, never again."

Bbarr: "Unlike the Nazis, I believe that if a person doesn't want to die, or wouldn't want to die could they make their desires known, then this constitutes a decisive reason against euthanasia."

What in the world makes you think that a member of the Herrenrasse could be killed against his or her own will ? Your knowledge of what constitutes the Nazi thinking on this issue is simply lacking.

You create differences between your thinking and the Nazis' wich simply aren't there. You constantly and implicitely refer to the killing programs after 1941 to prove there are differences between your thinking and the Nazis's. In this way you're constantly trying to confuse the issue.

Bbarr: "You showed no such thing.

Yes, I did.

Bbarr: "You merely asserted without reason and in the face of refutations provided by both me and Nemesio .... "

You nor Nemesio refuted anything at all. Again because you refuse to take notice of the evidence I provided doesn't mean I didn't present it.

They are a waste of time and resources. They ruin the lives of their families. If you think that sounds cruel, go spend some time with a group of them, and get back to me after you know what you're talking about.

Here we go again. "There are good reasons" .... the Bbarrian jargon

Nazi ideas on the rise again. Talk to Bbarr about a "solution" for the problem.

Ever had any experience with what you're talking about, or do you just like to throw smarmy insults around?
