Trump indicating he won’t debate Harris because he didn’t like the way the channel spoke to one of his boys, but says he might do the debate on another channel. What difference would that make? The questions will be put to each candidate and they will debate them. So what’s the problem π€·βοΈ
Is the real reason Trump is backing away because he’s scared of being shredded on national and global TV by Harris?

@divegeester
Pretty much what I predicted when Kamala came out as Biden's replacement.
She is so far above Trump mentally he would not know what hit him if he really attempted to debate her.
@sonhouse saidHe is suddenly looking his age and visible appears older imo.

@divegeester saidHis desperation is palpable.

@divegeester saidHe's losing now so I don't think he can drop out of the debate.

Most likely it's a lame strategy to A) Advance excuse any poor performance ("ABC rigged it against me!" ); B) Put pressure on ABC to change moderators or at least have them go easy on him; and C) A negotiating tactic to have any future debates on what he considers "friendly" ground.
@no1marauder saiddo you suggest abc isnt a left wing outlet?

that harris is trying to change the agreed upon rules?
so she can butt in and say “ excuse me I am talking”? make it appear a man is being rude to a woman
@no1marauder saidI've noticed a switch in trump campaign rhetoric away from asking voters for votes and towards the familiar narrative that the upcoming election will be stolen by the Democrats.

I sincerely hope you're right but would advise the Dem camp to hold off on any celebrations. This election (and its poll numbers) bears a striking resemblance to 2016.
@wildgrass
As it stands right now they are neck and neck so he is probably unable to visualize the switch from Biden to Harris, wishing it was Biden as his opponent.
@mchill saidI don't think so.

Harris isn't as unpopular as HRC and the three swing States Trump squeaked by in 2016 - Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin (esp. the first two) - have been shifting to the Democrats in recent elections.
There are other differences, but those are the most salient.
@wildgrass saidYep, the fix is in.

@divegeester saidTrump's big problem is his mouth got him into this. Good luck taking on a Prosecutor, he may have bit off more than he could chew and realized it when it was too late, so now arguing over little details. No doubt he has to debate her now.

@divegeester saidLet's be real. Trump is a strong debater. Ask Jeb Bush.

If you lead in the polls there is no advantage to debating. Why do you think Biden would not debate Kennedy during the primary? Biden outright refused any debate. Biden chickened out.
