Yawn .. {Got it, lazy debater] Yes I need a link. I dont live there and neither do you. I stated a thread recently about the issue of forcing Palestinians out of their homes and the matter seems to very controversial. It is not straightforward at all. There are cases where Palestinians are living on land and some Jew has the title deed. The only a Jew-hater would not ne ...[text shortened]... bullets. It exempts them if it happened in East Jerusalem.
@rajk999 saidIsraelis planned a march with a route going near the al-Aqsa mosque, during Ramadan. So either Israelis are dumb or this was a deliberate move. My money is on this being deliberate.
Israelis attacked Palestinians in a mosque? Nobody was attacked. Palestinians were throwing rocks at the police and they responded with rubber bullets. Being in a mosque does not and can not grant you exemption from following Covid protocols.
Police were then called, reportedly, to prevent possible clashes. This means that Israelis planned an march during a Muslim holy day near a very important Muslim holy site that requires police presence. Now: add on top this that Israelis were illegally evicting Palestinians from their homes.
Do you see how this can problems?
Did Israeli police attack out of the blue? Reports say it was due to rocks being thrown, which would be wrong. What we don't know, likely due to Israeli media, is why Palestinians threw rocks. Did they just decide, out of the blue, to throw rocks in front of their holy site during one of their holy days? I doubt that.
Israelis are constantly committing actions that you would condemn Palestinians for. Imagine Palestinians marching near Jewish holy sites on a Jewish holy day: would you condone that? If violence erupted in that situation who would you blame?
@quackquack said600,000 Jewish settles pouring into the West Bank and East Jerusalem isn't a "zoning dispute". Nor is Israel trying to annex territory gained by force. Both are clear and serious violations of international law.
The Palestinians who use little more than a zoning dispute to justify the terroristic act of shooting rockets at civilians certainly don't deserve sympathy. And it is hard to imagine that the constant bashing of Israel here is little more than explicit bigotry and should be condemned.
The "you don't agree with the government of Israel's actions therefore you are an anti-Jewish bigot" card is a phony as it comes.

@vivify saidJerusalem Day is celebrated pretty much the same way every year - usually late May to early June. This is predetermined long in advance. Ramadhan is the the one that changes over the years. This year both celebrations collided. Plus the site in question is a holy to side to both Jews and Muslims. Those are the facts. Only a idiot or Jew hater will post that nonsense you did.

Oh you are right, Palestinians dont throw stones. How can the Israelis accuse them of that.
Palestinians are to blame.

@vivify saidYou trying to be funny? Which of these facts did you not know :
Okay, you got me here. I don't see how anyone can argue with what you've said.

- Jerusalem Day is celebrated late May to early June every year. This has been ongoing since 1949
- Ramadhan changes every year, and traverses the entire calendar.
- Palestinians are world famous for rock throwing
Which?

@rajk999 saidAnd the IDF is world famous for murdering children.

@shavixmir saidIF you are referring to the practice of rock throwing, then the blood of the children, are on the parents hands. Why dont the parents go out and throw rocks at the Israeli soldiers?

@rajk999 saidrajk, these jack-booted thugs of the IDF and police have been shooting dead rock throwing children since the 1960's

@earl-of-trumps saidLike I said
rajk, these jack-booted thugs of the IDF and police have been shooting dead rock throwing children since the 1960's
- thats 70 years and they still have not learned not throw rocks
- serves them right for being so damn stupid
- serves the parents right for not caring about their children
@no1marauder saidDoes international law have thoughts on constantly sending missiles at Israeli citizens or is it really just a method of forum shopping for the most anti-Israel forum that exists?

The realities are that borders are set up but people live where the want to live. By your reasoning would you be OK if the United States constantly shot missiles at Mexico City because their citizens don't recognize borders (borders which by the way are far more well defined and have existed for a much longer period of time)?
@rajk999 saidLate May to early June is pretty vague for a holy day.

Jerusalem day sounds more like some nationalistic breast beating rather than a holy day.
So the reality is that the Jewish Israelis decided to have a nationalistic march past a mosque full of Palestinians and brought their armed police chums along for company.
@kevcvs57 saidWho says it was a holy day? Who cares what is, whether breast beating or otherwise. Here is the schedule. Maybe you could attend next year, instead of talking all that nonsense.
