And the Middle East version of the Cold War begins. Now the question - will it end with a whimper like the one between the US and Russia, or with a big ol bang?

Will the US get involved (as always)? How about China, Russia, France and Germany? Are we all gonna stick our noses in it, choose sides and start launching nukes. I see some serious sabre rattling heading our way.

I think you hit the nail on the head with "intentions". That's what it comes down to for me. How serious is the President in Iran? Is he full of bluster, just pandering to his "base"? Or maybe he just likes the attention the world gives him everytime he opens his mouth. The US and Russia did a WHOLE lot of smack talking back in our cold war too. All politicians are full of ego. 🙂

So I don't know. My gut feeling is that Iran's prez is a whole lot of mouth. It's impossible to get a read on the situation here because the news always presents him as a wack job surrounded by mobs of people screaming and yelling. I'd hate to think how people would view the US if all they ever saw of us were our riots and our politicians.

Iran can't close the straights if the U.S. wants it open.

That would be one of the big problems. How do we keep it open without using force?

Wrong as usual - a number of nations use centrifuges to enrich uranium.

EDIT: Besides those powers with nuclear weapons, Germany, Japan and the Netherlands according to this article. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_centrifuge

I believe there are others such as Brazil and Argentina; Australia is discussing building uranium enrichment facilities.

Are you saying that you've killed a soldier or two? Were you hiding behind civilians when you did it? O brave lion of Islam. Were they women? Children?

Have you killed your sister for being raped like a real Islamist? Your mother? Tough guy.

Do you follow in the footsteps of your prophet and have sex with 9 year olds?

My offer to fly you or one of your friends to come try to kill me is still valid. Loser.

I normally feel sorry for people who's family trees are all gnarled up like a braided afro, but for some reason it doesn't bother me in your case.
