Some excerpts:
The Liberals seized a Parliamentary majority, a turn in political fortunes that smashed the record for the number of seats gained from one election to the next. The center-left Liberals had been a distant third place party before this election.
The photogenic son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau pledged to run a C$10 billion annual budget deficit for three years to invest in infrastructure and help stimulate Canada's anemic economic growth.
Trudeau has said he will repair Canada's cool relations with the Obama administration, withdraw Canada from the combat mission against Islamic State militants in favor of humanitarian aid and training, and tackle climate change.
An omen for the US and Bernie Sanders in 2016?

The post that was quoted here has been removedIn addition to his political agenda, that he is a self-described socialist, that he is old, Jewish and not very charismatic, also works against his chances of being elected. If Justin Trudeau were American and were running for President and had a similar message to Bernie Sanders, he's have a better chance at being elected than does Sanders.
Originally posted by sh76That's probably true but I think the weakness of Clinton and the likelihood of the Republicans nominating a buffoon give him a real shot. Polling says most voters agree with him on the issues esp. economic ones.
