@no1marauder
A dodge? Your example was laughable, I do not see how it required a dodge. You obviously know very little about probablilities.
I gave the probablity of going to the hospital given you get sick.
Your example was the probability of getting hit by a car given you cross the street blindfolded, when you quote a number based on crossing the street without the condition of being blindfolded.
I think most would agree that your probability of getting hit goes up tremendously if you are blindfolded and your.
@eladar saidGee, just like your chance of being hospitalized or dying "goes up tremendously" if you don't get vaccinated.

Get it now?
@no1marauder saidWho said that the elderly person should not be given the chance to be vaccinated?

The post that was quoted here has been removedI've had my first AZ jab in Indonesia, and nobody offered me any eggs. Not a single egg was I offered. Can't even pop over to China for the second one, no international flights, I feel cheated. Maybe I should write to the Indonesian government demanding my right to eggs....Incidentally after the first jab my immune system went into overdrive and I felt like I'd been hit by a truck for about three days. Still no eggs though, that's life I guess.
@eladar saidYeah that’ll be because they’ve been vaccinated. But when your job involves working hands on with 80 an 90 yr old people who are too frail to take care of themselves you need to be vaccinated as well, it’s just basic common sense.
@kevcvs57
For a person over the age of 85 the probability of hospitalization from covid is less than 1 in a thousand. Perhaps people should be given the facts, then decide for themselves who they want helping them.
If you want to be overly conservative, then 1 in a hundred.
@kevcvs57 saidNo, those numbers are not based on vaccinated 85 and older. Those are total numbers of an unvaccinated population.

If the elderly person is vaccinated, then the probability of course would drop. You do not believe the true numbers because you believe the hype created to put the population into a state of fear.
