@shavixmir saidParagraph 2: Why say ‘there is nothing declaring you illegal? Our law, and border guards, declare you illegal.
You can be a trespasser; you are trespassing on land. That is behaviour.
You cannot be an illegal, because there is nothing declaring you being legal, illegal or whatever.
You may as well declare someone seismic or something.
@boonon saidOne can be an alien and not be an illegal.
@shavixmir
Before words hurt peoples feelings they were referred to as illegal aliens here. That is what I grew up hearing in the news every night. It is a strange thing to say... Illegal alien.
@shavixmir saidWhat? If you oppose borders, how can the comment of one who favors borders be moot? Is that you, Suzianne?
You say it yourself: they are illegally there. They, themselves, are not illegal.
And, besides, I oppose borders entirely. So, anything you say on the matter is moot.

@averagejoe1 saidIs it like how Trump is an illegal fraud?

@averagejoe1 saidYour idiotic border guards and retarded laws can claim anything they want. They are wrong. A person is not legal or illegal.

@averagejoe1 saidWill you stop with the extra terrestrials. Good God man, get a grip.
One can be an alien and not be an illegal.
@jj-adams saidLibs can get overly touchy-feely and sentimental about people who come into our country breaking the law. Go figure.
Can't believe the ridiculous argument over semantics.
They are aliens.
They are here illegally.
They are called illegal aliens.
Why is that such a big deal to some of you?
@averagejoe1 saidI think they do it in order to avoid the real argument, they change the subject to some minor point and ignore the problem being addressed, which in this case is Massachusetts being overrun with people from our southern border.
Libs can get overly touchy-feely and sentimental about people who come into our country breaking the law. Go figure.
@wildgrass saidBefore Biden decided to ignore them they were doing just fine.
Aren't you the one who thinks our immigration laws are fine? We don't need any more?
@jj-adams saidHey libs, are they not being overrun, or what?
I think they do it in order to avoid the real argument, they change the subject to some minor point and ignore the problem being addressed, which in this case is Massachusetts being overrun with people from our southern border.
I am so confused.
@jj-adams saidThese are the numbers JJ. Illegal aliens living in the US were extremely high in 2007. These numbers declined steadily (still about triple what the number was in the 90s), and then it started climbing again in 2019. Two years before Biden arrived.
Before Biden decided to ignore them they were doing just fine.
This is not Bush's fault or Trump's fault or Biden's fault. The numbers track inversely to the state of the US economy and the unemployment numbers. When we need workers, and the immigration system cannot adapt, corporations hire illegals. The farming industry in particular, 50% illegal.
Mandatory e-Verify with a Republican president, Senate, and House, should have been very easy to accomplish. It would undoubtedly have helped. Republicans decided not to do that.
This is 4 presidents worth of bad policy and laws. The laws are bad. If we want immigration fixed, we need new laws.

@wildgrass saidReally?
Lol. No.
Did we have 3 million people a year screaming across the border when Trump was president?
LOL. no.
