@no1marauder saidWell yeah if he cannot get the support of fiscally conservative Dems then there’s not much he can do about that but it does also highlight the lies of the republicans who claimed that Biden would be getting pushed by the far left faction rather than being restrained by the right of centre faction in the party. I did hear that there were at least two Democrat senators who might rebel on these fiscal issues.
It's doubtful that Democrats alone can pass a $15 minimum wage using reconciliation. First, it seems likely that the Senate parliamentarian will rule that it does not fall within the measures allowable under that procedure. Second, a parliamentarian's ruling can be overturned by a supermajority(not politically possible) or maybe by a contrary decision by the head of the ...[text shortened]... lan is a wise move IF the Biden administration wants a package passed quickly, which it surely does.
I think it would be hard to argue that $15 minimum wage wouldn’t be a stimulus for Main Street USA especially if employers of smaller work forces were exempt.

@kevcvs57 saidEven Bernie has conceded that no minimum wage hike would become effective until after the pandemic. Therefore, I don't consider a fight about it as part of the pandemic bill as worth it.

@no1marauder saidKay but it could come back as a stand alone issue post pandemic.

@averagejoe1 saidDo you mean the GOPQ?
Easy Kev.... Bear in mind you are a member of a party who burns things and livelihoods down when you protest or demonstrate. Kev, .............we don’t do that.

@AverageJoe1
No, you are just a member of the party ripping infants from mom's arms.
But for you, they deserved it, the bastards.

@dood111 saidYou can try to twist this into anything you want, the fact remains Donald J Trump incited an armed mob of MAGA hatted goons to smash in windows, doors, invade the capital building to kill, injure, and destroy property. All your spinning on planet earth isn't going to change that.
Was led by AOC, who conveniently disappeared before the Capitol police showed up and arrested 51 people.
No, not the Jan 6 crowd, the 2018 demonstration where AOC led 200 people to take over Pelosi's office, after which Pelosi said she supported their right to protest and do it.
Remember when that happened?

@mchill saidTrump did not tell anyone to go do that.

The post that was quoted here has been removedAnd how many times did Kamala Harris say in interviews that Antifa and BLM should continue to "protest" while helping bail out hundreds of them after they were arrested so they could go out and do it again?
Even though her definition of protesting seems to be burning down cities and murdering people?
@dood111 saidWe all know people on the left are hypocrites.

This is just one more example, but leftists do not care.

@dood111 saidI don’t know why don’t you inform us of the number of times she said that supported by reputable links of course.

@dood111 saidShe says the protests (not with " "😉 weren't going to stop. How is that in any way, shape or form comparable to Trump siccing a mob on the Capitol, one that attacked it within minutes of the end of his inflammatory speech?
Here's one, go to 5:35. She says it right on camera. Is that a good enough source for you?
