@no1marauder saidYeah, she calls the burning down of our cities and attacking cops/civilians/murdering people and doing 10 billion dollars in damage while destroying people's businesses and ruining their lives "protests".
She says the protests (not with " "😉 weren't going to stop. How is that in any way, shape or form comparable to Trump siccing a mob on the Capitol, one that attacked it within minutes of the end of his inflammatory speech?
She has a funny definition of what a protest is.
Then she has the nerve to support the Minnesota Freedom Foundation to bail all these a holes out so they can go out and do it again.
You want a source for that too?
Trump summoned people to Washington on January 6th, the day the Electoral Votes were to be certified in the Capitol, to "stop the steal". How were they supposed to do that? And his speech constantly stressed the urgency of doing so:
" And then we're stuck with a president who lost the election by a lot and we have to live with that for four more years. We're just not going to let that happen."
"We're gathered together in the heart of our nation's capital for one very, very basic and simple reason: To save our democracy."
"But this year, using the pretext of the China virus and the scam of mail-in ballots, Democrats attempted the most brazen and outrageous election theft and there's never been anything like this. So pure theft in American history. Everybody knows it."
"Republicans are, Republicans are constantly fighting like a boxer with his hands tied behind his back. It's like a boxer. And we want to be so nice. We want to be so respectful of everybody, including bad people. And we're going to have to fight much harder."
"Today we see a very important event though. Because right over there, right there, we see the event going to take place. And I'm going to be watching. Because history is going to be made. We're going to see whether or not we have great and courageous leaders, or whether or not we have leaders that should be ashamed of themselves throughout history, throughout eternity they'll be ashamed.
And you know what? If they do the wrong thing, we should never, ever forget that they did. Never forget. We should never ever forget."

What was he telling the crowd to do?
@dood111 saidThat is, of course, the false propaganda that the right wing has been pushing since the first protests against police violence i.e. that the protests were the same thing as scattered violence, looting and destruction that occurred long after the protests and would have occurred even if there were no protests.

@dood111 saidThe Minnesota Freedom Fund has been around since 2016 with the mission of posting bail for low-income defendants who otherwise couldn't afford it. It got a lot of donations after the George Floyd protests and police riots that they were met with, but still there is nothing wrong with supporting bail for qualified defendants. https://www.complex.com/life/what-is-the-minnesota-freedom-fund-explainer

That's a bit different from inciting a crowd to attack the Capitol with the goal of disrupting Constitutionally mandated proceedings of the Legislative Branch.
@no1marauder saidThe MFF doesn't seem to care what the people they bail out have done, they are just putting violent criminals back on the street.

@dood111 saidIn case you forgot, bail is a Constitutionally protected right. IF judges think a defendant is a flight threat or an immediate danger to others, they can deny bail but if they set an amount, what is wrong with someone posting it?

I did not see you complaining when this individual, facing two murder charges, was granted bail and it was posted - largely by contributions from right wingers. https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a34748521/kyle-rittenhouse-bail-kenosha-wisconsin-mike-lindell-lin-wood/
Ironically, the Minnesota Freedom Fund was originally criticized for not spending its increased contributions on bail. https://www.insideedition.com/minnesota-freedom-fund-responds-after-being-accused-of-misusing-donations-60185
@no1marauder saidNo, because the video clearly shows Kyle Rittenhouse was defending himself.

@dood111 saidIs he charged with two counts of murder?
No, because the video clearly shows Kyle Rittenhouse was defending himself.
Did he get bail?
Was it posted?
Yes, yes, and yes. Thus your complaints about bail being given accused "violent criminals" (I think we can agree that murder is a violent crime) seem to be insincere.
A jury will decide if Kyle Rittenhouse was legally "defending himself" or not.
@no1marauder saidHe was charged with murder to make the rioters happy, if the DA didn't press charges there'd be even worse riots all across the country.

Anyone who looks at the video can see he acted in self-defense.
If he had just randomly started shooting people he'd be denied bail.

No, no, no !!! They did it to fool Lloyd Braun !!! 😆😆😆
@dood111 saidOppressed white people again? That seems to be your main theme on this board.

He was given a very high bail - $2 million - which indicates the gravity of the charges plus his potential flight risk. If he hadn't been a juvenile, it's doubtful he would have gotten bail at all.
