Originally posted by CliffLandinI recently read a quite biased book. It was called "Dinner witha Perfect Stranger". It supposedly tells you why there is no other God than the Christian god.
Here is a question for the Christians; Does intelligent design allow it to be designed by another god? Maybe Buddah or Allah or Yahweh? Or is only a Christian god intelligent enough to design a universe?
It was B.S. too.
(I'm afraid I am going to go to hell. Thank goodness; they have steak!)

Originally posted by flyUnityYour "evidence" is not conclusive because there is another possible scenario - evolution. Evolution is the prefered option because it can (and has) be (en) tested (repeatedly), is dependant only upon physical, chemical and biological processes that have been shown to exist, and requires no outside, supernatural force.

Well I dont have much to say other then, I think that your "evidence" is false, and you think mine is. Like I said before, Its been 10 years since I studied ID and evolution in school, but I was greatly impressed at all the evidence ID offered, however your a scientist and probaly know allot more about evolution then me, and Im a creationist, and I dont think any debate will change our minds.
ID is just creationism in different clothes and I for one think it is a great shame that people are still holding onto their out moded and out dated beliefs.
But while the status quo is so advantageous to so many I guess they always will.
And by the many I decry the Catholic Church, and all the many denominations of Christianity in America.
Originally posted by flyUnityProbably true. You ain;t gonna convince me, and I ain;t going to convince you. ID or creationism can be taught in a powerful and convincing way, even though they are (i believe) wrong. Evolution can likewise be taught well by a good teacher, and badly by a poor teacher, or one who wishes to discredit it.

I wish I'd know you 10 years ago (and of course I had my present level of intellect!) and we could have had some good debates - I think your mind would be different had that been the case!

And a lack of faith would destroy your "theory". Without faith in the supernatural your "theory" doesn't exist. The Christian Scientist have as reasonable claim that men are really aliens. You see neither one of you has any proof or way of proving your non-theory. It requires everyone to believe what you say without any way to test it. I will repeat that part; It requires everyone to believe what you say without any way to test it.

And a 10,000 year old earth. Let's see some cold, hard facts for that one.
Can you post some of the evidence that you had that outwieghs the evidence of evolution. (You know, those every day things that evolution throws in your face, like the third molar (wisdom teeth) which everyone used to have and less and less people have today.)
