In any event, there was no "miscarriage of justice" in this pending case; the defendants punched a police officer, true, but his injuries were minor and will not support a felony charge under the NY Penal Law, so release without cash bail for what will certainly wind up as a misdemeanor charge (at most) for defendants with no prior criminal records is routine.

JJ is an open racist who would not have even started this thread if the defendants were white men who attacked police (like many did on January 6, 2021 using weapons like hockey sticks, flagpoles, etc. etc.). The news sources which aren't sensationalist trash reported the cop's injuries were minor and treated at the scene. That is not unusual when someone is punched and even JJ knows that.
