Indeed. Do you think that Mexicans in Mexico, working 18 hours a day for $100 a
week are doing so voluntarily or because they are forced to because the govern ...[text shortened]... loyment rates. If it is truly 'wishy washy' it should
be trivial of you to do so.

either turns a blind eye towards them or because there is no governemnt in the area
to protect them?
I am totally opposed to forced labour, if the employer is using force (chains, whips, cattle prods) or threats of force ("if you don't do this we're sending someone to torch your house) then there is a role for guvamint to step in and come down hard on the offenders....real hard.
You can't have it both ways, either you will give the worker his right to strike or you
will accept that laws are necessary to prevent businesses from abusing workers like was
common in 1930s midwest America.
There is no contradiction in anything I've said, I would never advocate banning unions or strikes.
If my statement is lacking in veracity, show me a study that demonstrates that this increased
minimum wage has resulted in lower employment rates.
No you're the one with the stats, I argue that if just one person is willing and able to work for less than the arbritrary rate deemed by the state to be the minimum, then you have no right to stop them. I can't show you all the jobs that aren't getting done....because they're not there...see?
