Predictions for the next 4 yrs
- Illegal immigration will fall and illegal residents will be deported
- No more LGBTQ parades in peoples faces. Let them stay home and do that $$hit
- American will have less to do with petty scuffles like Ukraine and Gaza
- Mass importation of Chinese and other foreign goods will fall
- Local businesses will as a result get a boost
- Pr ...[text shortened]... People will be forced to work instead of living off the state
- Crime in innercity areas will fall.
Wall Street is betting this doesn't happen. Who will be there to pick the strawberries?
@wildgrass saidHow about the workforce that was doing it before all these illegal immigrants were let in that’s now pissed and voted for trump?

The U.S. will pull out of NATO, per Trump threatening to do so multiple times. This will then lead to NATO disintegrating and ceasing to exist.
Federal gay marriage protection will be overturned. After Roe v. Wade was struck down, Justice Clarence Thomas said in his decision that Obergefell v. Hodges (gay marriage SCOTUS case) be "revisited".
Illegal migrant crossi ...[text shortened]... ll drop. Whether you approve of the methods used to do so or not, there will be a significant drop.
Probably not, he will just bully other members to up their spending to whatever he thinks it should be
"This will then lead to NATO disintegrating and ceasing to exist. "
Why would it disintegrate? Especially with the US gone, the imperative to stand together would be increased.
"Illegal migrant crossings will drop. "
They will not. What will increase is the barbarity with which the ones caught will be treated

@wildgrass saidBring in immigrants LEGALLY, as required to do the work.

Do the necessary background checks
Make sure they not affiliated to terrorists.
Better yet keep out ALL Muslims... ALL, no exceptions.
@Zahlanzi saidThe U.S. is NATO's largest and most powerful member, as well as NATO's biggest financial contributor. Given NATO already has a problem with members not paying their agreed upon dues, the U.S. leaving may discourage those members even more.

I think the U.S. leaving would cause a domino effect leading to NATO's dissolution. It wouldn't happen right away, maybe after 10 years or so, possibly even less.
I just don't see a post-Brexit NATO as unified as it once was, especially given the (right-wing) rise of both pro-Russian and anti-EU sentiment throughout Europe, like Le Pen in France. As EU relations become strained (largely driven by immigration disagreements) those conflicts will bleed into NATO.

Yes the US spends an obscene amount of money on military. That has nothing to do with the declared purpose of the alliance.
It's not like the other countries stay in it for US' sake
"Given NATO already has a problem with members not paying their agreed upon dues"
That's Trump propaganda. There is no agreed upon dues, there is suggested dues.
Also, the majority ARE paying it:
"Out of the 31 Nato members, 23 are expected to meet Nato's guideline of spending 2% of their gross domestic product (GDP) on defence.
This is a huge increase from 2014, when only three Nato allies hit the spending target. "
You talk as if Canada and European countries have no stake in NATO and if US is gone the life of the party will just be gone. Which do you think is more likely, that each take their chances with Russia on their own or stick together as one?
"I think the U.S. leaving would cause a domino effect leading to NATO's dissolution. It wouldn't happen right away, maybe after 10 years or so, possibly even less. "
Why. You aren't offering any reason .
"maybe after 10 years or so, "
So a vague timeline far into the future. I think we will colonize Mars. It wouldn't happen right away, maybe after or before 10 years.

Le pen said she wants to take France out of NATO before trump got elected. It's rhetoric just like everything the far right says. There is no indication they are any closer to taking France or any other country out of NATO now than they were 10 years ago.
Unless you know facts i do not?

@Zahlanzi saidNATO members not paying their dues isn't just a Trump talking point, Obama also addressed this same concern:
"The U.S. is NATO's largest and most powerful member, as well as NATO's biggest financial contributor."

Le Pen is not an outlier, right-wing sentiment, which includes pro-Russian and anti-EU/anti-NATO stances, have been spreading across Europe. Should the U.S. leave NATO, especially under the right-wing pro-Russian Trump, that could cause a chain reaction leading to other members leaving, if they're suddenly without the largest military and financial contributor.
Obviously NATO membership benefits the U.S. I never indicated otherwise. You must be confusing me with No1.
These are just predictions; don't treat them like accusations. If I'm wrong, I'll be glad since leaving NATO makes the U.S. weaker. But just based on how the world is moving and the rise of openly pro-Putin politicians in Europe, it doesn't seem that far-fetched.
@wildgrass saidYou’re a fool try listening to these people complain and actually thinking. Your party is full of morons with their heads in the clouds, they care about none of us except lgbtq and pushing their liberal agenda.
