@vivify said"Bush being hated in America is not in dispute."
Bush being hated in America is not in dispute. You will not find anyone who agrees with you.
Democrats attacked Bush for invading Iraq, not republicans. Then when Obama invaded Libya Democrats condoned the invasion all of the sudden. See how that works?
Now you're on the right track. There is a major difference, though: the Libyan invasion was sanctioned by the UN; Iraq was not.
That is ridiculously false.
The UN means nothing when it comes to justifying wars of choice. Bush almost got UN approval for the Iraq using bribes, threats and coercion in general. That is how the US does things and it wasn't just Bush. They all do it.
The UN means nothing. They are bribed and bullied into voting with the USA. Surprisingly, France did the right thing for once by rejecting the Iraq war under Jacques Chirac. That doesn't happen often. France invaded Libya later. Jacques Chirac must have had principles.
There is no major difference. Jacques Chirac made the difference.

The last major invasion in the Middle East was Russia invading Syria to prop up the genocidal regime of Assad and they are still bombing the crap out of Aleppo, exactly the same game plan they are using in Ukraine and they used in Chechnya. But don’t let that stop you worms from supporting Putin.
@metal-brain saidYou're just proving you're an ignorant debater. No one will agree with you on Bush.

@Metal-Brain
So you figure Putin bombing fukking HOSPITALS with pregnant women inside, just normal wartime for you since you are a fukking TRAITOR to the US.

@sonhouse saidThat was not a hospital, it was a biolab and he gave advanced notice to Ukraine that it would be bombed so civilians could avoid being bombed.

You were duped by propaganda again.
@metal-brain said“ On 19 March 2011, a multi-state NATO-led coalition began a military intervention in Libya, to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973, in response to events during the First Libyan Civil War. With ten votes in favour and five abstentions, the UN Security Council's intent was to have "an immediate ceasefire in Libya, including an end to the current attacks against civilians, which it said might constitute “crimes against humanity” ... [imposing] a ban on all flights in the country's airspace — a no-fly zone — and tightened sanctions on the [Muammar] Qadhafi regime and its supporters."[19]

Coloured in blue are the states that were involved in implementing the no-fly zone over Libya (coloured in green)
American and British naval forces fired over 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles,[20] while the French Air Force, British Royal Air Force, and Royal Canadian Air Force[21] undertook sorties across Libya and a naval blockade by Coalition forces.[22] French jets launched air strikes against Libyan Army tanks and vehicles.[23][24] The intervention did not employ foreign ground troops.[25]”
Hey halfwit an invasion is what Putin is doing in Ukraine with tanks and boots on the ground.
I’ll leave it for all to see. And I’ll repost anytime you or some other idiot claims NATO invaded Libya.

So to save the lives of civilians NATO had to kill civilians? Explain that.

@metal-brain saidYes they did. The war in Iraq was roundly criticized on the news. Bush and his cronies we're villified. It sparked the largest protest the world has ever seen. PBS covered all of it.
I watched the PBS Newshour today and they started out by saying civilians in Ukraine were getting the brunt of fighting in the southern part of the country. Then they went on to say how civilians were being targeted.
The PBS Newshour never covered the Iraq or Libyan war that way. They are showing clear bias against Russia in the way they are reporting things. It isn't just the corporate news media that spreads propaganda.

The facts are there you cannot deny them. NO INVASION OF LIBYA BY NATO

@wildgrass saidI’ve mentioned before that a million people marched through London to protest the Iraq war and the UKs involvement. It destroyed one the otherwise most electable labour party’s in decades and led to a change in parliament requiring a full vote in the House of Commons for any future interventions.
Yes they did. The war in Iraq was roundly criticized on the news. Bush and his cronies we're villified. It sparked the largest protest the world has ever seen. PBS covered all of it.
This was tested after the red line of a chemical attack in Syria by the Russian backed regime of Assad and resulted in a NO vote to intervention but the pro Putin camp are really not interested in facts. They are using the same tactic of alternative facts and “they are all as bad as each other” premise, but they are not Putin is invading a sovereign state without any political feedback from his oppressed population and he is invading to stay and expand in an imperial manner.

Just because you and your boy Putin are confused about the difference between and invasion and an intervention it doesn’t mean the rest of us have taken the idiot pill.
The intervention cost a lot less lives than if it hadn’t stopped Gaddafi from murdering masses of his own people.
The Russian INVASION of Ukraine on the other hand …..
