Even assuming that is accurate, multiplying that by 12 months would mean close to a quarter million deaths in a year in those other States.

I'll find the link, but in the last month in the US deaths from COVID are at or above the monthly average for deaths from heart disease or cancer in the US. That would make it our #1 killer. And unlike those conditions, it is an infectious disease spread by contact.

Especially since all sorts of deaths get classified as covid, including cancer and heart attack.

The thing is that since the start of their reporting period, which is the 28th of December 2019, until the 10th April, there have been 184,592 deaths registered in England and Wales reported by the Office of National Statistics. Over that period there have been 10,335 deaths registered, where covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate. This comes to 5.6%.

Gonna be a lot more when people lose their houses, cars, can't afford food. I see a lot of suicides and homeless people on the horizon.
