I wonder if your people slap covid19 on death certificates as if it were candy like they do in the US.
It's filled in by the deceased GP (physician), I think they're a generally conscientious bunch. But since hospitalised deaths are recorded as deaths in hospitals where the patient had tested positive for covid-19 the only real difference is that where there hasn't been a test the GP's opinion is based on traditional diagnostic practice whereas hospitalised deaths are based on laboratory testing.

I think they either have a test result or they do not. I also think they are getting pressure to slap covid on those death certificates.

US population 328 million

Deaths each day 8000

Total US deaths this year 944000

That means that Coronavirus represents less than 5 percent of all deaths, yet everyone is acting like this is the end of the world.

Reality check, people die. Reality check, this thing is not killing many people when compared to typical death rates.
Reality check: 1/4 of these deaths a day (or a 1/4 above the numbers you are giving; I didn’t fact check them) are from Corona... and that’s with lockdown measures in place.

Someone really has to grab a sack of frozen peas and smack you with them.

Yes the US is not nearly as urbanized as the UK.

If you take out the worst 5 states, what would be the US deaths per million?

Answer 62
I don't think that is correct.

In the Covid-19 stats thread, I posted that if you take out the top two states, New York and New Jersey, the other 48 have a death per million of 42 or so.

42 is way less than many Euro countries.

Lol, somehow Sweden survives.

We have a population of 328000000 and you believe 40000 deaths is a big deal.

8000 people die every day. Most of the Covid deaths, which really are Covid, would be dead soon anyhow.

The shutdown has done more harm than good and is a result of a fraud paper from the UK.
