@shavixmir saidIt isn't blackmail.

“Gazprom halts gas supply to Poland and Bulgaria as Russia accused of blackmail.”
Really? The EU is sanctioning the fukk out of Russia, supplying 💩-loads of weapons to the country Russia’s at war with… and then start screaming blue murder when Russia retaliates…
Uhuh… what the hell did they expect?
Asking to be paid for services is not blackmail.
Whoever is calling it blackmail is a freeloader refusing to pay for gas they use.
Russia wants to be paid in Russian currency just like the USA wants to be paid in US dollars. In fact, the USA will invade nations to make sure people pay for oil in US dollars.
@mott-the-hoople saidI am not defending Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine or their behaviour there.
no need to throw a hissy fit when you get called out trying to justify a murderers actions
Don’t get all snow-flakey on us when I point out you don’t even comprehend what my post is about.

@shavixmir
Poland has been working to stop being dependent on Russian natural gas and has built a liquified gas equipment so they can get that from ships.
@sonhouse saidThis decoupling from Russian carbon fuels is ongoing and permanent 🤞Russia wants to be paid in rubles to shore up his currency against the financial sanctions. I don’t think it’s blackmail or a punishment but it’s another mistake because it’s simply speeding up the aforementioned decoupling process.

The only tactical effect will be to put global oil and gas prices up even higher.

@sonhouse saidAnd guess who is going to ship NG to them.

@shavixmir saidThe EU is an ineffective unit for marshalling unity among its economic slave states, especially during conflicts. Germany has paid Russia nearly 10 billion for fossil fuel since the conflict started.

@divegeester saidWhat choice does Germany have, the sanctions are meant to be long term and strategic, they are not designed to destroy the economy of Western Europe.

But surely if they are slave states they wouldn’t be any need for “marshalling unity” these states would just get their orders from the parliament or commission and carry them out.
@metal-brain saidHopefully not a country that is threatening to invade them. Go on MB don’t leave us in suspense, give us a clue.
And guess who is going to ship NG to them.
@metal-brain saidSeriously It’s almost like Putin is a complete idiot and the USA isn’t
The USA
The fact that the USA may gain out of this doesn’t make them any more culpable than a vulture picking over the bones of a recent kill.

@metal-brain saidNorway . Don't you even know what is going on ? You really are a moron .

@kevcvs57 said“Economic” slave states. Germany has choices the same as all nations do.

What’s the point of EU sanctions when one of the members ignores them?
Scroll down the list to “fossil fuels”
