@sh76
Who does all this ‘restrcting’? Of us? Could it lead to other restrictions of us.
I vote no restrictions.
If they want to stop you from idling your Mack truck overnight just because you like the white noise, I'm okay with that.

@yo-its-me saidYou need to get out of London and move around more and see how people live. You will figure out why people have several vehicles.
Why do people need more than one vehicle rajk?
It's 874 miles from Land's End to John o' Groats. Maybe it's different in the states, Australia and across Europe.

@yo-its-me
Self-driving electric flying cars would solve the pollution problem, the congestion problem, the wasted-time problem, and be way safer that self-driving road cars.
I read a while ago about car rental being the way forward. A few cars in a street that get booked for use. I have my doubts.

@yo-its-me saidI think it’s a lot more likely and politically feasible to push the electric engine and better public transport. I wouldn’t fancy a political parties chances anywhere in the democratic world if they tried to get elected on a platform of restricting car ownership.

@kevcvs57 saidAt some future point the cost of electric cars will fall below that of similar sized ICE vehicles and the stampede to own EV's will begin. They already are cheap to run and have low maintenance costs. The major stumbling block to wide scale adoption is sticker price and to some extent range anxiety. But they will represent the overwhelming value proposition in the not too distant future, and it will be game over for internal combustion, without any need for government to restrict anything.

Why would you want an expensive noisy smelly slow buzzbox, when you could own a cheap silent nimble quick runabout that's oodles of fun?
