@Very-Rusty saidMay I rephrase,,,,,,if he gets 30 days, you are correct. If he gets a year or so, a real sentence, in prison, he will pardon his son. One mitigating factor??? He will not run for president in November, so it won't hurt him to have lied, and he will pardon his son.
No I don't believe he will Pardon his son. He is from the Old School and a good Politician, not a Business man and poor one at that trying to act like a politician.
I am not speaking for the Gooster, he can do that every well himself.

I predict both of thoses things. He will not run, and would indeed pardon his son if it is a sad little prison stay.

This remains to be seen, one of us can tell the other when the time comes that he wrong or correct, which ever the case may be.

@Mott-The-Hoople saidBoth AOC and the space alien Rachel Maddow are saying Trump will throw them in jail!!!
seems like it’s you libs creating a thread and getting all worked up 😂
We are going to have to cancel some stuff to keep up with all this humor and the oncoming crash and burn!
Have the libs weighed in on how bad it is that Trump is allowed to run? I missed it. Did they give reasons? Nothing in that stupid constitution about it!!!! They REALLY hate the constitution.

@wildgrass saidi'm not the guy to ask, as I love guns, I have a wonderful 20gauge Purdy. I hunt a lot. An Animal lover on this forum may take exception to that, until hje sees this link and reallizes how off-base he is.
I only argued against your post that Hunters conviction cannot be appealed. Of course it can.
I'm not a gun nut, either way. It seems that the gun nuts, NRA, Republican party, and libertarians would be flocking to defend Hunter in this. They don't seem to care. Which leads me to believe that they are so beholden to their cult leader that they have abandoned their principled positions on key issues.
Am I mistaken?
I don't get 'flocking to help Hunter'. Stay with me here, fella. He broke the law. The law looked in the books and said lo and behold, he needs to be sentenced to such and such. My repub friends (who shoot anything that moves) would say he broke the law, even if he were Trump's son. They would say to sentence him.
A new report released on Oct. 12 by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service shows that 14.4 million hunters aged 16 and over contributed $45.2 billion to the economy in 2022. The survey found that 6% of the U.S. population hunted, and they spent a combined 241 million days afield last year.

@wildgrass saidI erred if I said it would NOT be appealed. I was pointing out that it is so cut and cry, slam dunk, etc, that there is nothing to appeal on unless the judge said something off color in this trial!!!!

@Very-Rusty saidFinally a clear good ole bet!

One of us will lose, won will win. The stickler will be 'just how long' the sentence will be. I will say 30 days in jail will be OK with Joe. Longer than that, he he will cast himself on the fires of changing his mind, and he will pardon him.
@AverageJoe1 saidSo, You say he will let him do the 30 days, what is if that is all he gets? Then we don't have a winner or a loser. From most of the posts I've read on here you Sir, are already losing. 🙂 If he does get more than 30 days, Daddy's name isn't TRUMP so the Present POTUS will not Pardon him.

@Very-Rusty saidAgain , I predict Biden will not run, and that if Hunter gets more than 30 (or so, author's license!!!) days, that daddy will pardon. That simple. You are typing fluff!

PSPSPSPSPS!!!! Why in the HELL do you wallowing libs mention Trump at every turn? Jesus.

@wildgrass saidAgain, i do not understand you. The NRA are law abiding. Be it guns, or free speech or whatever. So, Biden broke a law. We want that person punished for breaking the law.
The law he broke was a gun law. Where is the NRA?
As a liberal, you are evolving into a world where no one should be punished for breaking a law.
Uh, are you saying that he should not be punished for breaking the law? Should the American Africans who break into stores to grab the stuff that belongs to someone else be punished, or .........here it comes, WGrass.....Not be punished?
Conflict abounds.
@AverageJoe1 saidIt irritates you to know TRUMP was convicted on 34 charges, cause his followers to storm the white house saying he would be there while hiding in a room watch it unfold on T.V.. He heard them wanting to hang the V.P. as TRUMP had told the people the V.P. could have done something about it. How naïve are some of you Republicans? I'd stop making myself look bad by trying to protect your Supreme Commander which is what he would love to be. Instead hopefully he will behind bars, not that he hasn't tried by threatening the judge who is going to be sentencing him and the judges family. You Sir, would like to have someone with these morals running the country and access to nuclear weapons'???
Again , I predict Biden will not run, and that if Hunter gets more than 30 (or so, author's license!!!) days, that daddy will pardon. That simple. You are typing fluff!

@divegeester
The ultrarightwingnuts have already started weaponizing his conviction. They would have weaponized him if he was exonerated, they would weaponize him if he was convicted, that was my prediction when the Jury had started deliberating and I was proven right.
One real ultrarightwingnut, a PAID ultrarightwingnut goes 'Just a distraction from the conviction of Trump'
Just goes to show just how frigging crazy as hell these folks really are.
