@Phranny said - The main cause of the recent train wreak and chemical spill was due to deregulation under Trump.

That rumor was actually started by Buttigieg but was quickly debunked.

Fact Check: Pete Buttigieg Blames Trump for Ohio Train Disaster

CLAIM: U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg is blaming former President Donald Trump for the train disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, claiming, “we’re constrained by law on some areas of rail regulation,” and citing a “braking rule” that was withdrawn under the Trump administration.

VERDICT: False.

While it is true that in 2018 the Department of Transportation (DOT) withdrew a proposed rule requiring trains carrying certain dangerous chemicals to use electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) brakes, this rule would not have applied to the train that derailed in East Palestine on February 3.

Trump repealed a law which would have demanded train companies upgraded the braking systems; and you are defending Trump using a Breitbart “fact check”

You would be better off if you were less of a Trump apologist.

So the train wasn’t carrying dangerous chemicals then, the people of East Palestine will be relieved to hear that.

You're being a little cryptic here, are you saying these types of disasters don't happen in socialist states and with state owned Co's?
Lol yeah because you have to live in a Socialist state to have decent H & S regulation, it’s either or I guess, it’s a pity you cannot have reasonable regulation of private companies without moving to N Korea or travelling back in time to Stalinist Russia but hey what can you do.🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh. You can’t think of anything witty, so you re-use my gag and fail to amuse anyone.

You little loser you.

You’re like a parasitic koala that’s lost its teeth and claws, so falls to the ground, legs up in the air, screeching in dismay.

Poor you. Poor little clawless koala parasite.

It is weird to see a person of Shav's persuasion to use the word parasite in a derogatory way.
Somewhat like an oxymoron.

The solution is: more capitalism, less socialism in the example you just cited. The goobermint money allowed, enabled, promoted the mega drug corps to become bigger, stifling all the smaller players. Unfortunately, life is not that simple. Vaccines are pricey to develop and must be administered to vast numbers of people in a short period of time to be effective. The cost to individuals must be minimal or free. If not, the effort is pointless. Many other life saving drugs are also very expensive to develop, hence the government supports. The same can be said for other industries. The most important thing is to prevent price gouging and prevent monopolies so there is competition.

All correct. My agreement with Phranny above is that price gouging should fall under some serious consequences at some point. But ONLY if the government is involved with funding, as Phranny suggests.

Sounds to me like you are a lib, Joe.

Anyone who listens to Alex Marlowe 9AM each day would quite disagree. BTW he is quite inquisitive about delving into both sides.
