I learned about slavery and Jim Crow when I was in school. that is proper to teach that, so people can see the errors of the past.

American History is all facts. Teaching facts may irritate you stupid Republicans, but it is what it is. Making it something different is bastardizing your kids' education.
If you want to teach a sterilized, whitewashed version of American History, maybe you can call it White History.

What is being taught is a dumbed down version for kids and it's teaching blacks to be angry and whites to hate themselves.
Then after some time both sides end up hating each other more because the blacks stay angry and the whites wake up.
