@suzianne saidYes. But the point I was making was what was done after the horses got out.
Long after the horses left was the barn door closed.
What was done once the virus was here.
Every major country got the virus into their country.
What has been done since in each country ?
Trump gets a failing grade.
@shavixmir saidSo what is your rule of thumb to come up with a number that you find unacceptable? 180K might not be so bad in a country of 330,000,000. Then we could go ad nauseum about how old they were. Then we could compare to other countries and their numbers, and how many miles apart the countries are, etc etc. Maybe the most deaths occurred on a windy day, when it was not windy in Norway, so we lost more than they did.....that day.
180.000+ dead.
Yeah. You are wrong.
Then we can switch gears and say it is all Trump's fault, but tread lightly, because there are quite a few scientists and other guardians that will tell you it is not Trump's fault. So believe them, OR, believe Shav. Take your time, think it through.
@suzianne saidactually biden claimed Trump was xenophobic for banning chinese travel...and remember pelosi going to china town for a presser?
Long after the horses left was the barn door closed.
@no1marauder saidare you talking about the order coumo had removed from the web site?
This is yet another right wing fairy tale. It is true that nursing home residents were to be sent back to their facilities if their COVID case was no longer severe enough to justify staying in the hospital but NYS was absolutely clear that they should not be mixed with other residents:
"Residents suspected of infection with COVID-19 should be given a facemask to wear, ...[text shortened]... us.health.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2020/03/acfguidance.pdf
Your post is a contemptible lie.
"The order also said nursing homes and adult facilities were "prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission."

Im glad we agree an investigation is in order.
@mott-the-hoople saidif anyone should be investigated, it would be the nursing home operators.

@no1marauder saidthey were only following cuomos orders. now you want to apologize for saying I was lying?
if anyone should be investigated, it would be the nursing home operators.
@mott-the-hoople saidI already showed you were lying; there was no conspiracy to deliberately kill off old people to embarrass Trump - that's just insane.

And it's clear that many nursing homes did not follow the State guidelines to keep COVID infected residents in a room separated from other residents. From the guidelines:
"Residents suspected of infection with COVID-19 should be given a facemask to wear, and the facility must immediately contact the NYSDOH. The resident must be isolated in a
separate room with the door closed. "
"A nursing home can accept a resident diagnosed with COVID-19 and still under Transmission Based Precautions for COVID-19 as long as the facility can follow CDC guidance for
Transmission-Based Precautions. If a nursing home cannot, it must wait until these precautions are discontinued. "
@no1marauder saidNo need trying to obfuscate...Coumo removed his order because he wasnt complying with CDC guidelines as you are trying to infer.

@Mott-The-Hoople
How many pictures of Putin do you have on your worship wall? Good little comrade.
