yes it could be said. but the point is why they are more likely to do so. and dsr's statement that it is because of race is what is being questioned here.

I would say that the underlying cause of groups being more likely to
behave in a particular way is the inwillingness of society to recognise and
make allowances for 'differences' for fear of 'true' equality.
I believe they call it political correctness

Originally posted by der schwarze RitterLook at how you pervert statistics:
According to the statistics, of all prisoners in federal prisons, 27 percent are criminal aliens. For such a statistically small portion of the population (say 20 million out of a total population of some 300 million), illegal aliens are cutting a high profile in the penal system.
The 27-29% of criminal aliens include the number of aliens here legally. Only 55% of those
aliens are here illegally; so, to revise your numbers, 13-15% of federal inmates are illegal aliens.
Let's use the higher number, 15%. Of the roughly two million federal inmates, that number
yields roughly 300,000 illegal alien inmates, or approximately 1.5% of the illegal immigrant
population (of 20 million). This compares with about .5% of the legal population in prison.
And while this number is three times higher, we return to the question of the crimes committed.
Of the 1.5% of the illegal immigrant population in prison, only 12% were convicted for violent
offenses (murder, sexual assualt, robbery, &c), and 15% for lesser offenses like burglary, larceny,
vandalism. This compares with a whopping 52% and 21% respectively for the general prison
population. The majority of the immigrant population in prison (nearly 50% ) is in prison because
they are here illegally. To put these in raw numbers for you:
Of the 20 million illegal immigrants in America, 300,000 are in prison (1.5% ), of which 36,000
committed violent offenses (.18% of the immigrant population) and 45,000 committed property
crimes (.23% of the immigrant population). Of the 300 million citizens in America, 1.7 million
are in prison (.5% ), of which 884,000 committed violent offenses (.29% of the citizen population),
and 357,000 committed property crimes (.12% of the citizen population).
So, you are 61% more likely to be the victim of a violent crime by a citizen than an illegal
immigrant, and you are 91% more likely to be a victim of a property crime by an illegal alien,
both of which comprise very small percentages of their respective populations.

Driving uninsured certainly gets your car impounded here + a significant fine (even jail time). Didn't realize that Texas was innundated with "liberal" judges or that its legislature was so soft on crime.
The car insurance market in America is anything but a free market. First, you can't buy insurance from anyone other than an insurer in the state in which you reside. Therefore, there is a distinct lack of competition and this causes great disparities in the cost of policies across the country. Secondly, the insurers tell the legislatures that the ...[text shortened]... nt or traffic stop, the word would get out and people would quit driving around uninsured.
Be that as it may, you would have been undercompensated in your view regardless of whether the uninsured driver was a red blooded "American" with a confederate flag on the back of his uninsured car. Therefore, your anger at illegal aliens because of the incident is misplaced.
Originally posted by no1marauderIt's not just me; I have several friends and acquaintances that this sort of thing has also happened to. Here's some interesting reading about the mayhem being caused on our roads by illegal aliens:

It's time to fess up and face la musica.

ones I've committed are the traffic and parking violations that I've skated on.
What's really funny is how your own statistics blew up in your face and so you focus on giving
me a liberal position (amnesty) that I've explicitly stated several times I don't espouse.
That's pretty desperate, even for you.

Of course, that actually strengthens your point but you should get the facts straight (even if our right wing friends here never bother to).
