Basically the same as racism. Racism isn’t the problem. It’s a symptom of the underlying problem (poverty and inequality).
It’s pointless to tell people to save the environment when they don’t have enough money to pay their kid’s hospital bills.
And through generations of indoctrination, there is a firm belief the system can’t be the issue.

To be fair, I don't think he's saying 'white man good, black woman baaaad'. (Not this time, anyway.) What he's pointing out is that Stewart's, and many commenters', seeming claim that straight white men are the only cause of all the world's problems is just as racist, sexist, and generally problematic and counter-productive.
Which it is. Be honest: a gre ...[text shortened]... not innately worse than black women, and to pretend they are is no better than to claim the reverse.
I'll add that making absolutely EVERYTHING about racism pollutes the message so badly that it makes it impossible for most people to take it seriously.
Whenever anything strange or odd or bizarre happens, I can go to sleep knowing that my overnight Medium digest and the morning HuffPo will have something about how it all goes back to racism.
When Will Smith slapped Chris Rock it was racism that people criticized Smith. If a white guy had defended his woman, he's be a hero.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, the Ukranians were only considered heroes because they were white. Otherwise, they would have been considered uppity rebel terrorists.
When Nikola Jokić is considered for NBA MVP, it will be evidence that racist America wants a white person to be the best basketball player.

Limiting racism allegations to things that are actually racist (example: the Arbery murder was racism, Kyle Rittenhouse shooting white people in self-defense was not) would ever so much help average people take the discussion seriously.

Pick anywhere in the world: Asia, South America, the Pacific islands, you name it, whites have spread violence to and pillaged ever corner of the world.
You need to stop the whole "other people are bad too" tripe. No one is saying one race is better or worse than the other. It's simply the objective truth that the history of whites oppressing other races, like blacks, has been a brutal, enduring to this day.

It's going on all the time, anywhere blacks take over and whites are the minority, whether it's a school, a company, a city, or a country..
While you struggle to Google an answer to that, keep in mind this honestly isn't about declaring one race better or worse than the other.
In countries like the U.S., whites hold most of the power and make most of the decisions; a lot of those decisions were made specifically to oppress minority standing in the is country, See red-lining, Jim Crow laws, etc.
Put it this way: the Japanese, especially prior to WWII, severely oppressed the Chinese, in much the same way whites have done to blacks. Do I think the Japanese are worse people than the Chinese? No; it's simply an objective truth of what the Japanese have done.
Likewise, do I think whites are worse people than blacks? No. But abuses from whites toward minorities are simply an objective truth. Rampant racism among whites are simply an objective truth (again: your "chimp" comment about the Oscars).
Are all whites racist? Obviously not. Are there blacks with the same flaws as whites? Of course.
There's no need to get defensive when these topics come up. They only serve as deflections; and when you repeatedly shift focus back on blacks, it starts to look like you're defending racism.
Do me a favor: read up on the history of Haiti and how France crippled them with debt by making them pay for the money lost because they didn't want to be slaves any more:

This is one of many examples of how black countries are in a "mess" due to the actions of whites.

But I know you would just say, I wasn't racist, my mom wasn't racist and the civil war has been over for about 150 years so what is the big deal? They abolished slavery right?
Well in a town I grew up in, Escondido California, which I thought of as a nice artsy kind of town, but I found out about the unwritten rule there: Blacks and Browns, ok to work here, but come 5 pm you better be gone.
Whether you recognize it or not, racism is here to stay and if whitey gets payback it is because of centuries of suppression, centuries of it being illegal to even TEACH a black man or woman history or math or the like, whether you believe it or not, such suppression century after century leaves an indelible mark on those ex slaves.
One recent example, my wife has a best friend, Darlene, we were over to her house one fine day, her mom and dad lived there also, in another house on the property.
Her mom was a big time real estate agent, in a town in the middle of Ohio.
One day the subject came up in her presence about blacks moving in the area.
When asked about that and how they would stop blacks from buying there, she said and I quote, "We have our ways'' meaning they figured out how to keep them out without it being obvious racism so they could not be sued.
Two separate incidents two entirely different states and that is my personal experience encountering systemic racism.
That is real and whitey refuses to even acknowledge the CONCEPT of racial bias.
That is the basis for "Critical Race Theory'', a course taught in a number of schools and all it is the history, the TRUE history of racism and slavery that built America.
Whitey don't want to hear about any of that BS in their humble opinion...
Racism has not gone away, it has been there out in the open in a lot of places in the US which found many examples in my life.
For instance, I am the lone Irishman in my large family, one son in law from India, a daughter in law from Sweden, another daughter in law, Mayan indian from Cancun, two columbian identical twins adapted, and another adoption of a partial asian.
My wife is part Potawatomie indian, her grandma was born and raised on the res.
So we have seen how whitey treats our kids here in my town.
One son, Jonathan, 12 yo att, riding his bike to school, cop stops him, WHERE DID YOU GET THAT BIKE. You stay there on the sidewalk, he goes to his radio and calls Jonathan in, and that took forty five minutes and then had to conclude my son was not a thief.
That was just the start, the kids in school would go Hey "N word" how does it feel to be a Nword, NWord?
OVER AND OVER.
Now he is grown, has kids here also, the kids now say to HIS kids,
not joking, the exact same words 20 years later,
Hey Nword, how does it feel to be a Nword Nword.
We live with that kind of crap every fukking day of the year,
my wife's first husband was pure blood Hawaiian and we have 3 half Hawaiian kids and they went through the same crap even though they have only the slightest hint of brown skin.
One of the twins, Andrew got a job at an old folks home and the head chef there calls him SPIK almost every day and he reported it and all they came back with was we have words you are a druggie.
Ok we'll check out your accusation which of course never happened.
You see that enough and you see a frigging pattern. The pattern of racism.
