@sh76 saidI don't think so:
Well, it seems that our bet is moot as there are sources reporting that Biden will drop out of the race over the weekend.
Excellent decision by the Dem higher ups to push him out.
no1: My $50 to your $20 that Trump loses Pennsylvania in November?
I already alluded earlier in the thread that Biden might not be the nominee. From page 1:
no1: I'm not sure Biden will remain the Democratic candidate but I remain fairly confident that Trump will lose.
Of course, I'll let you back out if you wish as a gentlemanly gesture.
@no1marauder saidAh ok. I misinterpreted. I’ll keep the bet. I don’t know who will win but I like the 2.5 to 1 odds. Not that I really care that much (heck, I might even vote Dem depending on whom they nominate) but the numbers guy in me doesn’t want to let go of those odds.

@sh76 saidGranted, the pundits and pollsters would consider it a crazy wager on my part.

But hey, no guts, no glory.
@sh76 saidActually if Biden drops out, he'd be a very logical choice for Harris' VP.
Incidentally, if Josh Shapiro ends up on the ticket on either line (I know it's a long shot, but still), I'm paying off the bet right away and voting for the ticket.
Don't take early payouts on bets since the Immaculate Reception.
The fact of the matter is Trump remains unpopular; the RCP aggregate of his favorability is -12%. https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/favorability/donald-trump
That's almost identical to what it was on the eve of the election in 2020.
And while the headlines from this AP poll was that 2/3 of Democrats want Biden to withdraw, it also found:
"About 6 in 10 Americans want Trump to withdraw -- but relatively few Republicans are in that camp."

That included 51% of independents who think Trump should drop out. https://apnorc.org/projects/most-say-biden-should-withdraw-from-the-presidential-race/
