@sonhouse saidYou think that, tell us htat, that is what the Forum is for. Let us stipulate that you think that Tariffs are among the many mistakes he will make and we will all be back to where Biden has put us. We get your thoughts on that.
I won't have to admit anything since our GNP will tank, our national debt will go way up and millions of jobs lost because of Trump kidnapping.
There are many economists who think like you, you are not far afield. I personally think he would not get himself in a mess (He has had a few, the college, the casinos, etc) so he has learned from hhis mistakes and knows now what he is doing.
There are other economists who admit to higher prices and such as that, but are fairly confident of Trump, looking globally at the big picture,..... the man is going to Make America Great Again
I dont see any reason to keep writing this over and over, he has not even started yet and I am not into predicting the future like you are..
This short article speaks of a positive side....Note that the stock mkt is unfazed!
Companies have more options to avoid and/or mitigate the impact of targeted tariffs (e.g., an additional 60% tariff on China origin products), including relocating production to countries that present lower tariff risk. The United States uses a subjective “substantial transformation” test to determine the country of origin of articles for purposes of these types of additional tariffs, so identifying which productions operations need to be moved is critical (i.e., country of origin analyses matter).
Increased tariffs will also generate opportunities for companies that produce in the United States, or that can move production to the United States. As tariffs increase, exporting countries and/or exporters to find ways to lower the prices of articles shipped to the United States (to try to offset some of the impact of U.S. tariffs). This may harm domestic producers, who could then seek to utilize U.S. trade remedy laws to impose further tariffs on imported articles to protect domestic market share. Also, companies producing in other countries that are harmed by trade diversion caused by heightened U.S. tariffs may also seek recourse under those countries’ trade remedy laws.
@AverageJoe1 saidWow, you say on the one hand you don't know a thing about climate change or much of ANY science but now you KNOW Trump learns from his mistakes.

Let me guess, you are not an Earthling but from where? Mars? Venus? Europa?
As far as Trump is concerned, he thinks he makes NO mistakes, if something goes wrong with his stupid policies, the failures will be blamed on someone else, ANYONE else but Trump and SOMEONE will be thrown under the bus but NEVER Trump.
@sonhouse saidQuestion. You go long on posts, I am not sure what it is all about regarding pharma, that you are upset about, the price is low, don't get it.

Anyway, I saw a clip saying that RFK is going after Big Pharma, or some such. Is that not what you want him to do?
@AverageJoe1 saidNo I don't want RFK jr to go after anything. He is an elephant in a crystal collection.

He doesn't know what is doing, he has no training in medicine but spouts off anything coming to his head.
He said he was a heroin addict in college and I don't think an addict would change his stripes. Are you ignoring what I said, he wants to kill flouridation of our water supplies and Trump goes along with it with no backup, never asking real scientists to tell him the truth on that subject or any other. Trump is listening to an absolute idiot AND RFK jr's own family thinks he is as nutty as a fruitcake and they grew up with him.
@sonhouse saidI am not ignoring, you pepper fact with opinions a lot, together with predictions, really hard to follow.

Ok, the fluoride thing is not same as going after big pharma i guess.
For the record, he is more qulaified than Biden's housekeeper/VP, whom you voted on. I think I will write crazy like you do about THAT!!
@AverageJoe1 saidRFK jr is more qualified than Kamala Harris? How do you quantify that for god's sake? She is a lawyer not medically trained and neither is that nutcase RFK jr. is a fuuking HEROIN addict and that is true, he said so himself.

So much for the former republican party, the party of law and order.
So now it is just FINE for heroin addicts to be in high government office, just like it is ok for convicted felon's to be president.
20 years ago Trump would not have gotten to first base trying to get into office when anyone reading his resume of failures and court cases would go FORGET IT, go back to your frauds.
@sonhouse saidI am a lawyer, managing partner for years before retiring. Let’s say she was a whiz throwing people in jail…..what about management, with all it entails? For the record, Trump can manage circles around anybody. She is not qualified, Sonhouse. But let’s forget her from now on, send her into domestic service. Point is, being a lawyer does not mean you have built-in qualifications.

So, is RFK qualified? Let’s see what the senate says, when he bares all before them! You might want to contact your senator, maybe get a sign to carry .
@AverageJoe1 saidYou ignore the fact RFK jr is a heroin addict. You also ignore the fact he has no medical training. BTW, now you say you are a lawyer, when and where did you pass your bar? You also said you taught economics, when and where did you do that?

@sonhouse saidGa and NC. Early years subbed in Econ-related law class, and Econ once a week in a high school, great time to learn it, imagine my analogies in THAT scenario. Have always worked w at-risk kids.

You do have a good point that RFK is heading up something that has to do with medicine and maybe that he’s not qualified. You may have me on that one. Interesting, he might not make it.
@AverageJoe1 saidRFK jr is such an assshole and has weird ideas.

So as a lawyer, do you believe everything a client says or do you take steps to verify their story? I think you understand where I am heading here.
BTW I saw your game against talzimir, pretty good game against an apparent 1700 player, I wonder if he really is that level or is he using engine and screwed that one up? Your 16 bishop to G2 was really good, he didn't notice it was skewering the rook so NXB, QXN, BXR. Oops.
