@averagejoe1 saidDid yall see where Biden says Trump inherited the booming economy? Im in church right now, how about a thread on that, please. And not what 'we think'. 🙂
Might be indeed a good question, cannot answer now, but my gut at the moment, not really related to your question,,,,,if our govt/law/etc gives money away in entitlement and welfare programs, why can't the job creating, producing, risk taking, entrepreneureal, deliver-toothpaste-to-your-door businessmen also get a cash break from the govt/law/etc entities in the United St ...[text shortened]... , you would mention the Rich. Thankyou Jeff, for the toothpaste that just arrived at my front door!

@kazetnagorra saidAny source of info would be fine. You made it up, didn't you?
Do you accept any source of information that isn't InfoWars or the Kremlin?

@metal-brain saidI'm with you,, this may be the main question of all Posts! Even I, the consummate capitalist, saying abide the law of taxation, cannot get a grip on this. Maybe the govt gets their 'reward, revenue' in some other way,, I have no idea. After all, as Obama said, "(Bezos) didn't build that!!" So, Bezos OWES US!! Please don't tell my neocon friends I am waffling!!
What about Amazon paying 0 income tax and actually getting a rebate? Fair?

@averagejoe1 saidWell at least you have the balls to admit you were wrong (in a round about way).
@AverageJoe1
Loopholes is a casual term, I looked back on post and see now y'all are joshing me, calling me out. You are right, actually what were created by Congress were 'tax breaks', if you will. So, I was a little loose there, but I think in terms of loopholes, that is sort of the vernacular, I guess,
Loopholes are not tax-breaks. Loop-holes are normally "discovered" after a law
is enacted, they are inadvertent, often they get "fixed" in subsequent legislation.

@wolfgang59 saidI like this point wolfgang. Making regulations is like telling lies, the minute you tell one lie you need another ten lies to cover the first one.

@averagejoe1 saidDean Martin died in 1995, long before Donald Trump reinvented himself as a devout Republican.
Dean Martin was a Republican. (Source, Free Republic, also Hollowverse). Equally friend of the mafia. He would say Trump is not a crook. It's a standoff!
Do y'all know Obama built the cages at the border? I'm off to church.

@wolfgang59 saidYou are as picky as the duchess. My accountant sort of interchanges the terms, and frankly I guess i never HAD to understand or realize they are different. I am sure you are correct, but grammar aside, the issue is, Should an average joe in this country fault a businessman or a tomato picker for taking advantage of every tax break available to him? I get from this thread that a few of us are really hot that Trump has done that. Many good businessmen do it, but I guess Trump's status as a businessman, with Many businesses, makes him somehow look like he is a criminal or a crook or a charlatan or a cheater or a tax evader or an impeachable person. This is magnified by his making himself so available.

If you were juggling the balls that Trump is, all the while being nipped at the heels by his enemies on this thread and elsewhere, you too would make the best business decisions within the corporate tax rules and regulations.
Rumor has it, Bernie, full fledged millionaire who never had a job till he was 40, takes advantage of tax breaks, and although he says the rich should pay more taxes, he for some reason says that that does not apply to him, that he only pays what he owes. Drat, my headache is setting in.

@averagejoe1 saidTax breaks are designed for people to use.

Loopholes are not.
Neither is breaking the law but most would consider
using a loophole to evade tax somewhat immoral.

@wolfgang59 saidFair enough......but careful, you may open a can of worms throwing 'immoral' around. How about a President of the United States telling his lowly subjects who struggle every day that his magic insurance program will begin by putting $2500 in their pockets and letting them keep their doctors! My granny was counting on that money, and lost her doctor of 62 years.

@averagejoe1 saidWhat has that got to do with the thread?

What has that got to do with immorality of using loopholes?
