If anything and what it seemed is the secret service actually knew beforehand about the threat from this person and gave him every chance to hit his target before putting him down. But that was a mentally unstable kid and a few rounds at a shooting range does not make you a marksman as was clearly shown by the fact he sprayed 8 bullets that day. A trained marksman would have had ONE round in Trumps forehead.

They wanted Crooks on that roof and Cheatle's claim the slope on the roof was a hazard is laughable. They had snipers on roofs with a much worse slopes.
They missed and Trump ducked. They missed their window of opportunity so now they have to pressure racial jungle Joe to drop out of the race. If he continues to be stubborn don't be surprised if he conveniently dies of a sudden heart attack. Certain people are obviously desperate to keep Trump from another term. Desperate people do weird things....especially if they are very powerful people.
