Fox News will never become sensible, that's against their business model. Fox came to prominence by feeding the racist, elitist, white national attitudes of conserves. Had Fox News simply reported the news, they would've never became as powerful as they are.

They were never becoming sensible, they simply happen to have a handful of people with integrity still left at Fo ...[text shortened]... s ever just starts reporting news in a purely factual, rational basis, they will go out of business.
With the Disney corporation behind them they can become anything they want to be.
‘Reports of their death are wildly exaggerated’
Why do people keep patronising and making excuses for the Trump base / Tea Party? Nobody fooled them and nobody is fooling them now. They are who they are. They are angry because the guy that vented their spleen for them has lost.
If you want to kid yourself that Fox is responsible then that’s fine if it helps you get some kind of closure.
The frothing at the mouth heavily armed right wingers have been at least a hundred years in the making and four years of Biden isn’t going to make a dent in the problem.

I have never done that. Not once.

You don't go from a fair-minded person to racist trash because of Fox News.

Fox News is responsible for spreading hate, misinformation and was key to the hyper-partisanship in government.

I never claimed Fox would end anyway, I merely posed a question.

When Trump has killed off Fox, and Newsmax and OAN become "the new Fox", will you criticize them as well, or will you just claim "mission accomplished" and be happy with that? Fox News isn't even the "biggest" or the "baddest" of the conservative disinformation networks any more.
It's like when Trump lost the election. This didn't end anything but was still worth celebrating. Racism and propaganda won't end because he's not in office anymore; but you would agree this is still a good thing, right?

Same with Fox News if they ever do meet their end.

Trump had zero "fanatical supporters" before he became President.

I suspect that soon after he ceases to be President, few will care what happens to him.

Trump's too lazy and cheap to fund any type of "news" organization that could possibly compete with Fox News. It's overwhelmingly likely he's bluffing trying to get FN to be more servile to him during his absurd attempts to overturn the election.
You're probably right.

The point of this thread wasn't to make any predictions, but really just to mock Fox News for rabidly supporting Trump only to have it blow up in their face.

There was a time when fox news only had good things to say about Trump and he use to tell everyone watch fox news for the truth. Once they started telling things he didn't like they were no good don't watch fox. He does send mixed signals to people.

Somehow he has managed to get a following I call it like a cult.

It has that feel to it, now.

the way I look at it is "Issues", if Trump (or any POTUS) is right on an issue, he's right. If he's wrong, he's wrong.

Some people cannot separate. I have no problem.
