You overestimate what Trump wants at the border.
The ENTIRE reason he had his pet squeaker kill it was LITERALLY he did not want Biden to get ANY credit for any help on the border. He actually said that on TV.
It had ZERO to do with anything in the bill, it had EVERYTHING to do with Trumps flagging ego. There was nothing wrong with that bill, it was the best chance we had in literally decades to do something positive on the border, money for more border guards, more judges handling asylum cases and the like.
That POS Trump is the reason it failed and nothing else, nobody else involved except Trump's pet squeaker of the house, Johnson.
