@spruce112358 saidIm referring to actual factual events. You are hypothesizing.
Sounds like what Republicans are just about to do. Gonna be fun to watch... 😆
We are at two different planes.
Try to come up a bit.

By now, every pundit in America has their own 2024 election take, mostly confirming their prior opinions. Every Republican has a t ...[text shortened]... office. Maybe, just maybe, voters will see they’ve been conned.
That is the best we can hope for.
I'm not kept awake by this, but I do wonder, despite the MAGA attitude regarding women's reproductive rights, Trump's conviction for sexual abuse, and his obvious bigotry, why tens of millions of women still voted for him.

@Suzianne
In his first Daily Show monologue in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s presidential election win, Jon Stewart grappled with the question of why things went so poorly for Democrats. He showed a montage of clips of news pundits arguing that Democrats lost because they had gone “too woke.”
“I only have one problem with the ‘woke’ theory,” Stewart replied. “I j ...[text shortened]... pen in four years at all.”

Yup. They were back in office when they nominated a candidate who would be cancelled so fast today, he wouldn't know what hit him.
I don't know whether Bill Clinton circa 1992 would be a Republican today or not, but there is zero chance that the Dems would nominate a person with anything resembling his 1992 positions.
If the Democrats thing that wokism didn't hurt them in this election, they're in denial.

Well, you can start with:
1. Trump's abortion position is simply to leave it to the states. He's not going to try a nationwide abortion ban.
2. Trump hasn't been convicted of sexual abuse.
3. "obvious bigotry" is in the eye of the beholder, and statements to that effect typically assume the conclusion they set out to prove
@Cliff-Mashburn
You feel better now that you think you just won a debate point?
What will you say come next year when all our predictions come true? Total control of all three branches of our government for one.
I guess you figure nothing wrong with that because democracy is a failed experiment.......
@sh76 saidI think you are right: Bill Clinton in 1992 was Republican Lite. 😆

"Bill Clinton ... focused on the economy in 1992 due to the recession and ran on school choice, balanced budget amendment, opposition to illegal immigration and support for NAFTA."
"Clinton claimed that the comments Sister Souljah made were anti-white."
"Clinton also visited the Stone Mountain Correctional Facility in Georgia shortly before Super Tuesday to promote his 'tough on crime' message."
"One way in which Clinton courted white votes was by associating closely with the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC), an organization created by southern conservative Democrats with the intent to bring white voters back to the Democratic party after the failure of the Mondale campaign in 1984.
To that end, the DLC adopted Republican positions on race-related issues like crime, welfare, and affirmative action. Clinton served as the DLC national chairman from 1990 to 1991, and he aligned his rhetoric closely with that of the DLC during his campaign. For example, he advocated to 'end welfare as we know it' and failed to mention race at all in his campaign book Putting People First, except while denouncing racial quotas."
@sh76 saidAre you saying that WHEN (not if) the bill is presented in Congress with exceptions for rape and incest, some Republican Congresscritters will vote against it because it is too lax? And then when they make it more extreme, others will vote against it - so nothing will happen?
Trump's not going to try a nationwide abortion ban.
Then Republicans will go home with an immense sigh of relief and tell the American people "I don't know why it didn't pass! It wasn't me - I voted for it!"
Americans cannot comprehend that level of dishonesty. Well done!
Of course, we, the Smart Elites, can see through your hypocritical charades in a second. But nobody believes us anymore because we are TOO SMART!!! 😆
@sh76 saidIt did hurt them and they are in denial. The gay/trans/woke/women thing goes against the strong current of "Christian" revival. BTW to which Jews and Catholics have been invited for the first time! Woo hoo! 😆

The real difference between 2024 and 1933 is the choice of scapegoat. THEN it was the Jews, now it's MIGRANTS!
So again, Jews are doing pretty well, @sh76. 😉
@spruce112358
Yep, migrants, even legal ones, in concentration camps, just like Stalin or Hitler.
Not sure how many were incarcerated but if Trump gets anywhere near 20 million like he plans he will be close to the numbers of ANY dictator. I think they will find it fails after the first couple thousand.
Then there is the issue of whether our military would go along with such a draconian measure.
Even if they do, where do they plan to find 20 million replacement workers? Good luck with that.
@shavixmir saidThats why Trump clobbered you losers. Youall are perverted LGBTQ, purple haired weirdos, that live off the state. Lol.
Sexist fvcking incel.
Go and spank your monkey or something.
You very, very strange, small balled, nutjob.
Decent people dont want your type around them.
@spruce112358 saidNo, I'm saying the Trump White House will not introduce or push any bill purporting to disallow abortions nationwide.

Seriously, for your mental health, you both might consider taking a couple of days off from keyboard warrioring. This can't be good for your BP.
Just a suggestion...
