@metal-brain saidPutin it’s definitely Putin and the scumbag billionaires that are funding the right wing assault on truth, freedom and democracy
@AverageJoe1
Who is more evil? George Soros or Putin?
Putin did not work with the Nazis to betray his fellow Jews.

They’ve seen the money that Russias cleptocracy has made out of Putins authoritarian state and they want that for themselves in the US
Tucker is a scumbag traitor and your a scumbag Russian
@kevcvs57 saidYou have to watch the interview to know anything about it. You have not done that.

@metal-brain saidYeah an half hour of pseudo history from a bloated faced ignorant KGB thug with tucker getting damp and droopy.

@kevcvs57 saidProve it. Talk is cheap.

Prove Putin said one single thing about the history of Ukraine that is not true. The fact is everything he said was accurate. If he said anything that was untrue the Today Show would have cherry picked it to discredit Putin with the other cherry picked parts of the interview they aired yesterday.
@drewnogal saidIf you won't be wasting your time watching the nonsense, how could you possibly know enough to say "Exactly!"?
Exactly! I won’t be wasting my time watching this nonsense.
@sh76 saidHe has faith it is nonsense.

@Metal-Brain
Yeah, our economy is just TANKING after all those Putin sanctions.
Did you really think a commie like you would be EVER taken seriously here? Or anywhere else on the real planet WE live in, which is clearly not the same planet YOU inhabit.
Let's hear your next scree, complete with a conspiracy site post. Come on, you want to do it, we all know that so get busy with it, we can't WAIT.
FWIW, I'm listening to the full interview. I don't have 2+ hours to kill sitting and watching it, but I go for walks during the day. When I'm not on the phone (which I use my walking time for when I can), I've been listening to the interview. I should finish it tomorrow.
I'm going to let my opinions on it percolate a bit before making my judgments, but I'll say this so far:
1) Carlson did fine. His job is to get Putin's point of view. We don't get much of a chance to hear Putin explain himself and this was a good chance to let him do so. Carlson asked some tough questions, but his job wasn't to be a jerk or cross-examine Putin. His job was to get Putin's views on the issues. Putin avoided many of the tough questions and Carlson didn't make him stick to the point (if Putin wanted to change the subject, he just did), but that's fine.
2) Whether you think Putin is a misunderstood great leader or Hitler reincarnate, the interview is worth listening to. Getting insight on what Putin is thinking is valuable information.
3) Putin is clearly not the half-incapacitated crazed demon some have led us to believe. He made some whopper claims and he plainly lied at least a couple of times, but he is not totally irrational.
If I have the time to spell out my thoughts on the interview coherently, I'll start a new thread later in the week.

What did he lie about?
@Metal-Brain
The fact you would have to ask that question shows whose side you are on. Yeah, Poor ole Putin, just a misunderstood diplomat with the common folk his only work, bettering the lives of those poor folk.
@sonhouse saidSo you don't know what he lied about either?
@Metal-Brain

Some people just don't like hearing the truth so they call the truth a lie as a knee jerk reaction. Putin said US presidents are told what to do by the elites. That is an opinion that I share with him, not a lie.
I think you have opinions confused with lies. You can disagree with Putin, but his opinion is not a lie if he honestly believes it. I think that is the mistake sh76 is making. He is calling Putin's opinions lies. It is only a lie if he does not believe what he is saying and sh76 cannot prove that.
Opinions are not lies.
@suzianne saidDid you watch the Interview?
If he didn't come across as such a puppy fanboi, it wouldn't be so bad, but nobody will ever call Tucker or Hannity real journalists. They're just lobbyists for Trump.
He pressed Putin on several points - points that were controversial - and otherwise allowed him to simply express himself and make his case.
It was fair.
I guess what people want to see is someone press the attack on Putin but that would not really be a serious interview - interviews are not supposed to be organized debates.
@metal-brain saidNo you prove one word of it was true.
Prove it. Talk is cheap.

Ukraine is a sovereign state recognised by the UN and the Kremlin prior to the invasion. We know Putin is a proven liar from examples to numerous to mention but especially from when he claimed to have no intention of invading Ukraine just before he invaded Ukraine
Ukraine’s history is one of invasion, suppression and attempted genocide by Russia you ignorant Russian troll
