Courts work because people trust judges. Alito and Thomas are eroding that, blaming their wives for stuff they did that was obviously partisan. They might as well slap a "stop the steal" bumper sticker on their cars and get it over with. Or maybe he's gone senile?

It is plain that, reasons or dementia notwithstanding, a judge who flat turns the flag upside down, barring reasonableness, which it likely is not, needs to be replaced. SCOTUS judge or Magistrate Judge.
